Sharp is a systemic insecticide manufactured by Insecticides (India) Limited, a leading agrochemical company in India. It is a water-soluble powder formulation containing acetamiprid as the active ingredient. Sharp is effective against a wide range of sucking pests that attack various crops, including cotton, vegetables, and fruits.

Mode of Action

Acetamiprid belongs to the neonicotinoid class of insecticides. It acts as an agonist of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) in the insect nervous system, causing overstimulation and disruption of nerve impulses, leading to paralysis and death of the target pests.

Application

Sharp is recommended for foliar application, meaning it is sprayed directly onto the leaves and stems of the crop. It can be applied using various spraying equipment, such as knapsack sprayers, hand-operated sprayers, or power sprayers. Dose - 80-100 g /acre
