Picticollis canegrub

Body 25-32mm long, head black, pronotum black and with traces of two large, central reddish-yellow areas on each side of midline, antennae club 3-lamellate; pronotum 1.65 times as wide as long, anterior angles slightly obtuse, posterior angles almost square, anterior and posterior margins not raised or defined by groove, metepisterna and metasternum without scales, clothed with long setae, elytra with sparse, adpressed, tapered white scales, scales on dorsal surface elongate and tapered to fine point.
