GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

AC JOUST 750 WG Herbicide

AC JOUST 750 WG Herbicide is a selective herbicide absorbed by foliage and roots, acting by inhibiting acetolactate synthase (ALS), essential for root and shoot growth in sensitive plants. It is primarily used in wheat and triticale crops, either pre-plant incorporated by sowing or post-emergent, targeting various weeds.

PRE-EMERGENT APPLICATION

Apply to bare soil prior to sowing or at sowing, ensuring thorough mixing. Incorporate immediately if sowing is delayed to prevent loss by wind erosion. For optimal results, apply when rainfall is expected within 7-10 days. Weeds may emerge initially but will become stunted and uncompetitive.

POST-EMERGENT APPLICATION

Apply to young, actively growing weeds, adjusting the rate based on weed pressure. Follow-up spray may be necessary for subsequent germinations. Best results occur with sufficient rainfall within 7-10 days post-application. Weeds will exhibit stunted growth soon after application.

MIXING

AC JOUST 750 WG Herbicide is water-dispersible and easily mixes with water. Start agitation, add the product, and continue agitation while topping up the tank. Ensure suspension before adding companion products or surfactants. Use the spray mix within 24 hours.

APPLICATION

Apply via boom spray, ensuring medium spray quality and good coverage. Use 40 to 100 liters of water per hectare, adjusting for crop or weed density. Avoid overlapping of boom runs. Aerial application is not recommended.

SPRAYER CLEANUP

Thoroughly rinse sprayer with water after use on wheat or triticale crops. For other crops, follow a detailed cleaning procedure with water and household chlorine bleach solution. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all traces of bleach. Dispose of cleaning water safely.

COMPATIBILITY

Check label directions and safety guidelines for all tank-mix products. Ensure AC JOUST 750 WG Herbicide is in suspension before adding companion products or surfactants. Compatible products include various herbicides and surfactants, while certain herbicides and insecticides are incompatible.

CROP SAFETY

Avoid use on winter cereals under legume pasture crops, barley, or oats. Consider soil carry-over effects on rotational crops, especially in specific environmental conditions. Seek advice for crop rotations, especially on soils with high pH levels or prone to zinc deficiency.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING

AC JOUST 750 WG Herbicide belongs to the sulfonylurea group and has ALS inhibitor mode of action. To minimize resistance, avoid repeated use of ALS inhibitor herbicides and implement tank mixes or rotations with herbicides of different modes of action. Seek advice on alternative treatments to manage resistant weeds effectively.

By following these instructions diligently, users can ensure effective weed control while minimizing environmental impact and maintaining crop safety.
