GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

MIXING:

  1. Shake the container before opening.
  2. Two-thirds fill the spray tank with clean water.
  3. With the agitator operating, add the required quantity of eChem AceTam 225 Insecticide.
  4. Top up the spray tank to the required volume with clean water while the agitator is running.
  5. Add the required quantity of organosilicone penetrant or non-ionic surfactant after mixing is complete.
  6. Maintain agitation while spraying.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • When eChem Acetam 225 Insecticide is added to DuPont Cottonquik + eChem Thidiazuron 500 + Oil for the first defoliation pass, DO NOT add organosilicon penetrant to the mixture.

APPLICATION:

Cotton:

  • Ground Application: Ensure thorough coverage of foliage with a water volume of at least 50 L/ha.
  • Aerial Application: Ensure thorough coverage of foliage with a water volume of at least 20 - 30 L/ha.

Potatoes:

  • Apply by ground or aerial application methods with sufficient water to ensure thorough coverage of infested foliage.

Resistance Warning: INSECTICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING:

  • eChem AceTam 225 Insecticide is a Group 4A Insecticide.
  • Some naturally occurring insect biotypes resistant to eChem AceTam 225 Insecticide and other Group 4A insecticides may exist.
  • The effectiveness of eChem AceTam 225 Insecticide on resistant individuals could be significantly reduced.
  • No liability is accepted for losses due to resistance.
  • Contact your local supplier, eChem representative, or local agricultural department agronomist for further information.

Cotton Aphid, Green Peach Aphid, and Silverleaf Whitefly Resistance Management:

  • If repeat applications are required, alternate eChem AceTam 225 Insecticide with a registered insecticide from a different chemical group.
  • Do not apply consecutive applications of group 4A insecticides.

Precautions: RE-ENTRY:

  • Do not enter treated areas until the spray has dried unless wearing appropriate protective clothing.
  • Clothing should be laundered each day.

Protections: INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT

  • Toxic to beneficial arthropods.
  • Not compatible with integrated pest management (IPM) programs utilizing beneficial arthropods.
  • Minimize spray drift to reduce harmful effects on beneficial arthropods in non-crop areas.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • Very toxic to aquatic life.
  • DO NOT contaminate wetlands or watercourses with this product or used containers.

PROTECTION OF HONEY BEES AND OTHER INSECT POLLINATORS:

  • Moderately toxic to bees and harmful to bee brood.
  • Acetamiprid has systemic action.
  • DO NOT spray while bees are actively foraging.
  • DO NOT allow spray drift to flowering weeds or crops.
  • Notify beekeepers before spraying to move hives to a safe location.

Storage and Disposal:

  • Store in the closed, original container in a well-ventilated area, avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
  • Triple rinse containers before disposal and add rinsings to the spray tank.
  • Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site.
  • If recycling, replace the cap and return clean containers to a recycler or designated collection point.
  • If not recycling, deliver empty packaging to an approved waste management facility.
  • Do not burn empty containers or product.
