GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

FUNGICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING:

  • GROUP 40 FUNGICIDE:
    • ACROBAT SC is a Group 40 fungicide.
    • Some naturally occurring individual fungi resistant to ACROBAT SC may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population.
    • Resistant fungi may not be controlled by ACROBAT SC and other Group 40 fungicides, leading to reduced efficacy and potential yield loss.
    • BASF Australia Ltd accepts no liability for losses resulting from the failure of ACROBAT SC to control resistant fungi.
    • For resistance management, use ACROBAT SC with mancozeb or POLYRAM. It should be part of a protective spray program and applied before disease symptoms appear.
    • To prevent or delay the development of strains of disease fungi resistant to dimethomorph, use ACROBAT SC in spray programs with fungicides having different modes of action.

MIXING:

  • Half fill the spray vat with water and begin agitation.
  • Add the required volume of ACROBAT SC and let it disperse.
  • Add the correct amount of mancozeb or POLYRAM as directed.
  • Add the remaining water with agitation running.
  • Add wetting agent if required when the spray tank is full.
  • Ensure thorough mixing and constant agitation to keep the product in suspension.

APPLICATION:

  • Ensure thorough coverage of plants, especially the underside of leaves and young grape bunches.
  • DO NOT apply by aircraft.

APPLICATION TO GRAPEVINES:

Dilute Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed for high volumes of water up to the point of run-off.
  • Set up and operate the sprayer for even coverage throughout the crop canopy.
  • Apply sufficient water to cover the crop to the point of run-off, avoiding excessive run-off.
  • Determine the required water volume from industry guidelines or expert advice.
  • Add the specified amount of product per 100 L of water and spray to the point of run-off.
  • Adjust dilute spray volume and sprayer setup as the crop grows.

Concentrate Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed for concentrate spraying, matched to the crop.
  • Set up and operate the sprayer for even coverage throughout the crop canopy with the chosen water volume.
  • Determine an appropriate dilute spray volume for the crop canopy.
  • Calculate the concentrate mixing rate based on the dilute spray volume and concentration factor.
  • Use a spray volume of at least 250 liters per hectare for concentrate application.
  • Adjust the chosen spray volume, product amount per 100 L, and sprayer setup as the crop grows.

Note: Consult relevant industry guidelines, undergo competency training, and follow Best Practices for concentrate spraying.
