MIXING

  • Mix only the amount of chemical needed for each day to avoid storage.

  • Mixing in Water: Fill the spray tank halfway with water, add MONSOON®, and complete filling. Agitate continuously for thorough mixing.

  • Tank Mixtures: Add wettable powder or dry flowable formulations first, followed by suspension concentrates, water-soluble salts, emulsifiable concentrate formulations (MONSOON®), and spraying oils and surfactants last.

OILS AND SURFACTANTS

  • Oils: Use Uptake* Spraying Oil at specified rates.

  • Surfactants (Wetters): Use a 100% concentrate non-ionic surfactant like BS1000* at specified rates.

COMPATIBILITY

  • MONSOON® is compatible with various Adama herbicides and crop protection products. Follow the correct mixing order and refer to the compatibility guides before use.

APPLICATION METHODS AND WATER RATES

  • Ground Application (Boom): Use an accurately calibrated boom sprayer with at least 50 L/ha water. Utilize flat nozzles at recommended pressures, ensuring double overlap of nozzle patterns.

CLEANING SPRAY EQUIPMENT

  • Rinse water should be discharged appropriately. After using MONSOON®, thoroughly clean the spray unit, including filters, pump, lines, hoses, and nozzles. Rinse the system with clean water multiple times and decontaminate before spraying sensitive crops.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING

  • MONSOON® belongs to the pyridine and nitriles groups of herbicides, with disrupters of plant cell growth and photosystem II inhibitor modes of action. It's a Group 4 and Group 6 herbicide. Be aware of resistant weed biotypes and incorporate resistance management strategies.

RE-ENTRY

  • Avoid entering treated areas until the spray has dried, or wear appropriate protective clothing. Launder clothing after each use.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS

  • Take precautions to protect susceptible crops and plants from drift. Grasses are usually unaffected, but transitory damage can occur on certain species.

PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK

  • Do not graze or cut treated crops for food except as specified under withholding periods. Keep stock away from treated areas until plants have died down.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT

  • MONSOON® is very toxic to aquatic life. Avoid contaminating wetlands or watercourses. Minimize spray drift to protect wildlife.

INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT

  • Tank mix with MCPA LVE 570 with caution to avoid harmful effects on predatory arthropods in non-crop areas.

PROTECTION OF HONEYBEES AND OTHER INSECT POLLINATORS

  • Be mindful of harmful effects on bees. Avoid applying to flowering plants or crops and prevent spray drift to flowering weeds or crops nearby.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

  • Store containers properly and dispose of them according to local regulations. Triple rinse containers before disposal and recycle them if possible.

SMALL SPILL MANAGEMENT

  • Wear protective equipment and apply absorbent material to spills. Dispose of absorbed material properly. Clean the spill area with an alkali detergent if necessary.
