GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

SIERRA is a post-emergence herbicide used to improve the control of certain broadleaf weeds including fleabane prior to the establishment of fallows, and before establishing winter and summer broadacre crops. It's also applicable in commercial, industrial, and public service areas, around agricultural buildings, yards, and other farm situations. SIERRA can be applied solo or in a tank mix with glyphosate products (refer COMPATIBILITY section of this label) or paraquat products (such as Spraytop) in situations described in the Directions for Use tables. It may be used alone with a suitable adjuvant for controlling volunteer cotton seedlings including Roundup Ready Flex cotton. SIERRA acts fast as a contact herbicide, aiding in weed control through membrane disruption. Foliar uptake is rapid, and plant desiccation can occur within 4 days of application. It targets small, actively growing weeds, with subsequent germinations unaffected.

TIMING
Apply to small, actively growing weeds up to 10 leaf in stage (Note: Fleabanes, small-flowered mallow, bladder ketmia, and volunteer cotton, maximum 6 leaf; volunteer canola, maximum 4 leaf). Best control is achieved when weeds are exposed and not shielded by other vegetation or stubble.

MIXING
Completely fill the spray tank with water, leaving room for product addition, and start agitation. Add any partner WG or SC herbicide before an EC, and allow time for granular products to disperse. Add the measured amount of SIERRA, followed by SL formulations of glyphosate or paraquat if required. Add a high-quality blended methylated/ethylated seed oil at 1%. Maintain agitation until spraying is completed. Apply within 4 hours of mixing.

APPLICATION
Best conditions are when the soil is moist, weather fine, and rain unlikely within one hour. SIERRA is rainfast one hour after application. Rain or irrigation within one hour may reduce burndown activity. Environmental conditions, soil moisture, and cultural practices may affect SIERRA's activity. It's light-activated and herbicidal symptoms may accelerate under intense light, warm, moist conditions. Dry conditions may delay symptom expression. Stubble loads and dusty/silty weeds can affect performance. Refer to the compatibility section for tank mixing. Apply with ground sprayers or aerially, ensuring thorough coverage of target foliage. Use proper nozzle selection and calibration for uniform application, adjusting water volume based on weed density and height to minimize drift.
