GROUP C HERBICIDE

For control of annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in pineapples, sugarcane and in industrial situations as specified in the  Directions for Use table.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

PINEAPLLES
Weeds controlled: Crowsfoot Grass, Pretty Boy, Sedges, Summer Grass, Thick Head
State: Qld, NSW only
Rate:
Boom Spraying per ha: 2.5 to 5 kg in 2000 litres of water
Critical comments: Apply when weeds are actively growing and when soil is moist.
Use the lowest rate for broadleaf weeds up to 15 cm high and for short residual control. Use the highest rate for broadleaf weeds up to 30 cm high, seedling grasses and where moderate residual control is required. Rates of more than 2.5 kg/ha should not be applied at less than 4 month intervals.
DO NOT apply more than a total of 12.5 kg/ha per plant crop.

SUGARCANE
Weeds controlled: Barnyard Grass, Bellvine, Billygoat Weed, Bluetop, Chinese Burr, Crowsfoot Grass, Flannel Weed, Gambia Pea, Pigweed, Rattlepod, Summer Grass
State: Qld, NSW, WA only
Rate:
Boom Spraying per ha: 2.8 kg + 550 mL of a non-ionic surfactant in sufficient water for thorough coverage
Hand spraying per 100 L of water: 250 g + 250 mL of a non-ionic surfactant. Apply at least 1100 L of mixture per ha
Per 15 L Knapsack: 38 g + 40 mL of a non-ionic surfactant. Apply at least 1100 L of mixture per ha
Misting per L: 25 g + 12 mL of a non-ionic surfactant. Apply at least 110 L of mixture per ha
Critical comments: DO NOT spray directly on Sugarcane leaves.
Thorough coverage is essential.
Apply to weeds up to 38 cm high and grasses up to 30 cm high.

(plant and ratoon)
Weeds controlled: African Stargrass, Awnless Barnyard Grass, Bellvine, Billygoat Weed, Chinese Burr, Cupid’s Flower, Crowsfoot Grass, Flannel Weed, Gambia Pea, Green Summer Grass, Mossman River Grass, Rattlepod, Summer Grass
State: Qld only
Rate:
Boom Spraying per ha: 2.5 kg plus 6 L of Farmozine 500 or 3.3 kg Farmozine 900 WDG in sufficient water for thorough coverage
Critical comments: Read the Farmozine 500 or Farmozine 900 WDG label carefully and observe all restrictions and instructions stated there. Apply as a pre- or early post-emergent application to both crop and weeds. If weeds and grasses are present they should be actively growing and not exceed the 3 to 4 leaf stage. Apply as either a band or blanket spray to moist soil and when rain is likely within 10 days of application. Thorough coverage is essential. After the cane has emerged use a directed spray to minimise contact of the spray with the cane plants. DO NOT apply this mixture more often than once a year.
Caution: Some phytotoxicity may be observed on variety Q90.

NOT TO BE USED FOR ANY PURPOSE, OR IN ANY MANNER, CONTRARY TO THIS LABEL UNLESS AUTHORISED UNDER APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION.

WITHHOLDING PERIOD
PINEAPPLES: DO NOT HARVEST FOR 14 WEEKS AFTER APPLICATION.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
AMETREX 800 WG is a water dispersible herbicide which provides knockdown and residual control of annual summer grasses and broadleaf weeds.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING
AMETREX 800 WG Herbicide is a member of the triazine group of herbicides. AMETREX 800 WG has the inhibitor of photosynthesis at photosystem II mode of action. For weed resistance management AMETREX 800 WG is a Group C herbicide. Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to AMETREX 800 WG and other Group C herbicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any weed population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the weed population if these herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds will not be controlled by AMETREX 800 WG or other Group C herbicides. Since the occurrence of resistant weeds is difficult to detect prior to use, Adama Australia Pty. Ltd. accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of AMETREX 800 WG to control resistant weeds.

MIXING
Fill spray tank no more than 25% full with clean water. Begin agitating vigorously and continue agitation during the entire mixing and spraying operation. Pour required amount of product steadily into the spray tank. Allow vigorous bypass agitation to completely disperse product. Do not dump product into spray tank all at once. After adding required quantity of product and obtaining complete dispersion, continue to fill tank to desired level for spraying. Thorough agitation of the spray liquid should continue during the entire spraying operation. Spray solution should not be left standing in the tank overnight.
