GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Apparent Sci-Fi 500 SC Herbicide is a pre- and post-emergence herbicide effective against certain broad-leaved weeds and grasses. For post-emergence applications, target weeds should be at the seedling to 4 leaf stage. Prior to sowing any follow-up crops other than beet or ryegrass, areas previously treated should be thoroughly tilled, including ploughing.

1. BEET CROPS: Minor foliage distortion may occur following treatment, but this is short-lived and does not impact crop yield. Pre-emergence treatment with this product may be followed by a post-emergence application of Betanal or a mixture of both.

2. USE OF Apparent Sci-Fi 500 SC Herbicide IN MIXTURE WITH BETANAL ON BEET CROPS: Carefully read the Betanal label before using this mixture, especially regarding temperature restrictions. The interval between treatment and subsequent rainfall or irrigation should be at least six hours. This mixture provides a wider spectrum of post-emergence weed control and longer residual activity than Betanal used alone.

3. RYEGRASS: This product reduces clover stands by 40-60%. For effective control of barley grass, apply to closely grazed pasture (3-5cm high). Raw organic matter can reduce efficacy, and retreatment may be necessary. Remove organic litter and harrow large dung pats before application. In areas of dense barley grass, drill or oversow with ryegrass promptly after treatment.

4. TURF: Apply this selective herbicide before or early after germination or emergence of Winter Grass (Poa annua) in fine turf situations. It is selective in various grass species when applied as directed. Make applications at monthly intervals for 3-4 months to control winter grass gradually, allowing desirable turf grasses to take over without unsightly bare patches of dead Winter Grass. Oversowing and reseeding should not occur within one month of spraying.

MIXING

Apparent Sci-Fi 500 SC Herbicide is a suspension concentrate that mixes easily in water. Before pouring, gently invert or roll the container to ensure all active constituents are in suspension. Part-fill the spray tank with clean water, add the correct amount of herbicide, and top up with water to the required level. Thorough agitation of the mixture is necessary before spraying. Mix only enough chemical for immediate use. When mixing with Betanal, follow specific instructions and use as soon as possible after mixing.

APPLICATION

For ground application, ensure good even coverage with a suitable volume of water. Apply to moist soil surface when used pre-emergence. Use proper nozzle height and pressure for even coverage. Clean equipment thoroughly after use.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING

Apparent Sci-Fi 500 SC Herbicide is a Group 15 herbicide. Some weed biotypes resistant to this herbicide and other Group 15 herbicides may exist. Preventing seed set of surviving weeds is essential to manage resistance.

PROTECTION, STORAGE, AND DISPOSAL

Follow guidelines to protect crops, non-target plants, wildlife, and the environment. Store in a cool, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Triple rinse containers before disposal and follow local regulations for proper disposal.
