GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Armoury Herbicide is a water-based formulation containing two active constituents effective against standing weeds and emerging seedlings. Rapid growth cessation occurs, with visible symptoms developing over 30 days, leading to discoloration and distorted growth in affected plants.
The active ingredients in Armoury are swiftly absorbed through foliage and translocated throughout plants. Imazapyr, the active ingredient providing residual control, is also rapidly absorbed through roots, ensuring effective translocation within plants.
For pre-emergence control, rain or irrigation is necessary after spraying to activate Armoury Herbicide. Foliage treatments indicated in the 'Rate' column offer pre-emergence control as the active material is released into the soil following plant decay.
A single application is designed to provide six months of effective weed control. Residual control is influenced by factors such as denser weed growth and increased ground cover.
APPLICATION
Optimal control of standing weeds is achieved under favorable growing conditions at and after application. Rainfall within two hours of spray drying may reduce weed control effectiveness.
SPRAYING INSTRUCTIONS
For medium volume spraying, use a calibrated spray boom for even coverage, selecting nozzles to prevent drift. High volume application should employ a handgun or hand-held spray applicator, avoiding back-carried equipment. Apply sufficient spray to visibly wet the surface without producing run-off.
MIXING
Combine the required amount of Armoury Herbicide with the total water amount in a suitable spray container, ensuring thorough mixing. Avoid foaming by adding Armoury Herbicide before filling, and use an antifoaming agent if needed. Only employ stainless steel, fiberglass, plastic, or plastic-lined containers due to the product's corrosive nature to mild steel.
EQUIPMENT CLEAN UP
After using Armoury Herbicide, thoroughly flush all spray equipment with water before using other products.
COMPATIBILITY
Certain herbicides, excluding bipyridyl herbicides (e.g., paraquat), may be mixed with Armoury Herbicide for faster weed knockdown. The herbicide is compatible with glyphosate-based products.
RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING
Armoury Herbicide is a Group B and M herbicide, belonging to the imidazolinone and glycine groups. It inhibits acetolactate synthase (ALS) and EPSP modes of action. To manage weed resistance, avoid repeated use, as naturally occurring resistant weed biotypes may exist. Such resistant weeds won't be controlled by Armoury Herbicide or other Group B and M herbicides.
PRECAUTIONS
- DO NOT use spraying equipment carried on the back.
- Re-Entry Period: Avoid entering treated areas until the spray has dried, unless wearing protective clothing.
- Protection of Crops and Non-Target Plants: Prevent drift onto susceptible plants, avoid application near non-target trees, and dispose of washings away from non-target plants and roots.
