GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

MIXING

To ensure even mixing, half-fill the spray tank with clean water and add the required amount of product. Agitate and, for bananas only, add the required amount of BioPest Oil (or equivalent product). Then add the remainder of the water.

SERCADIS Fungicide is physically compatible with the following products in a two-way tank mix (maintain constant agitation throughout):

Fungicides:

  • Chorus WG

  • Delan WG

  • Polyram DF

  • Systhane EC

Insecticides:

  • Calypso 480 SC

  • Prodigy SC

  • Voliam Targo SC

  • Regalis Plus Plant Growth Regulator

As formulations of other manufacturer’s products are beyond the control of BASF, and the quality of water may vary with location, all mixtures should be tested prior to mixing commercial quantities. Physical compatibility of products does not necessarily guarantee biological compatibility. When determining physical compatibility of a product not listed above, or in mixes with SERCADIS more than a two-way mix, conduct a jar test prior to mixing commercial quantities.

SERCADIS is a suspension concentrate (SC) formulation. When using in a tank mix with other products, the following mix order should be observed:

  1. Half fill the spray tank with water. Maintain constant agitation.

  2. Add any water dispensable granule (WDG/WG), wettable powder (WP), dry flowable (DF), water-soluble granule (SG) formulated products first and allow dispersion.

  3. Add any other flowable liquid (FL) and soluble concentrate (SC) formulations including SERCADIS Fungicide.

  4. Add any other emulsifiable concentrate (EC) formulations and micro-emulsions (ME).

  5. Add any water-soluble salts.

  6. Add any adjuvants as required.

  7. Add any foliar fertilizer as required.

  8. Add remaining water.

APPLICATION

  • Apples and Pears: Apply by vertical sprayer.

  • Bananas: Apply by misting machine, airblast sprayer, or aircraft. Use a minimum of 30 L water per hectare by air.

FUNGICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING

Sercadis Fungicide is a member of the succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor (SDHI) group of fungicides. For fungicide resistance management, Sercadis Fungicide is a Group 7 fungicide. Some naturally-occurring individual fungi resistant to Sercadis Fungicide and other Group 7 fungicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the fungal population if these fungicides are used repeatedly. These resistant fungi will not be controlled by Sercadis Fungicide or other Group 7 fungicides, thus resulting in a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss. Since the occurrence of resistant fungi is difficult to detect prior to use, BASF Australia Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of Sercadis to control resistant fungi.

RE-ENTRY PERIOD

Do not allow entry into treated areas until spray has dried. Even once spray is dried, do not allow entry into treated apples and/or pears for 8 days after treatment. If prior entry is necessary, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing) and chemical-resistant gloves. Clothing must be laundered after each day's use.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT

Toxic to aquatic life. DO NOT contaminate wetlands or watercourses with this product or used containers.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

Keep out of reach of children. Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight.

Triple rinse containers before disposal. Dispose of rinsate by adding it to the spray tank. Do not dispose of undiluted chemical on site. If not applying via a spray tank dispose of rinsate or any undiluted chemical according to state legislative requirements.

Wash outside of the container and the cap. Store cleaned container in a sheltered place with the cap removed. It will then be acceptable for recycling at any drumMUSTER collection or similar container management program site. The cap should not be replaced but may be taken separately.

If not recycling, break, crush, or puncture and deliver empty packaging to an approved waste management facility. If an approved waste management facility is not available bury the empty packaging 500 mm below the surface in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots, in compliance with relevant Local, State or Territory government regulations. Do not burn empty containers or product.
