GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Mixing: Mix only with water; it will not mix with oil or diesel fuel. Use mechanical or bypass agitation in the spray tank, recommended to be maintained during spraying. Add herbicide in the following order: wettable powder or water dispersible granules; suspension concentrates (atrazine flowable); soluble concentrates (e.g., Bucko 75-D, Ken-Amine 625); emulsifiable concentrates, and finally, surfactant or crop oil.

Adjuvants: DO NOT add surfactants (such as BS-1000*) or crop oils (such as Koil Spray Adjuvant) unless specifically recommended in the DIRECTIONS FOR USE Tables, 1 and 2.

APPLICATION

Bucko 75-D may be applied by:

  1. Ground boom: Spray using accurately calibrated equipment delivering 50 - 100 L water/ha. DO NOT use less than 200 L/ha in sugar cane. Use dropper nozzles for maize and sorghum.
  2. Aircraft: Use accurately calibrated equipment to deliver not less than 20 L water/ha. DO NOT use less than 50 L/ha in sugar cane.
  3. High volume: Apply using a calibrated handgun with D5 or D6 (2 - 3 mm) nozzle plate and operated at 400 - 500 kPa. Spray to thoroughly wet the weed, usually 2,500 - 3,500 L water/infested ha is required.
  4. Stem injection: Treat trees with good sap flow. Make injection cuts around the tree at waist height or ground level. Inject the chemical mix immediately after the cut.
  5. Cut stump: Cut trees close to the ground, leaving stumps no higher than 10 cm. Spray, swab, or brush the chemical mix immediately on the freshly cut surface.
  6. Frilling: Make overlapping cuts into the sapwood around the base of the tree. Spray to thoroughly wet the frilled area.
  7. Injecting spray into the center of weed: Inject 1 mL of treatment mix into the growing point for each 2.5 cm of the plant stem diameter.

COMPATIBILITY Bucko 75-D is compatible with certain herbicides and insecticides; consult the label for details.

CLEANING SPRAY EQUIPMENT After using Bucko 75-D, empty the tank, wash inside the tank thoroughly, rinse the system, and clean any tank, pump, line, and nozzle filters. To decontaminate, use an alkali detergent and rinse the system. Do not use chlorine-based cleaners.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING Bucko 75-D Herbicide is a Group I herbicide. Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to it may exist. Kenso Agcare accepts no liability for losses resulting from its failure to control resistant weeds.

RE-ENTRY PERIOD If re-entering treated areas before the spray has dried, wear overalls, elbow-length gloves, and water-resistant footwear. Clothing must be laundered after each day's use.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS DO NOT apply under weather conditions or from spraying equipment that may cause spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants/crops, cropping lands, or pastures. Crops susceptible to Bucko 75-D include peas, lupins, lucerne, navy beans, soybeans, and other legumes; cotton, fruit, hops, ornamentals, potatoes, safflower, sugarbeet, sunflower, tobacco, tomatoes, vegetables, and vines. DO NOT plant susceptible crops within 12 months of applying winter or summer cereal Use Rates of this product. Cereal crops and grasses can be sown safely after using Bucko 75-D.

PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK DO NOT graze or cut treated crops or plants for stock food except as specified under withholding periods. Keep stock away from poisonous plants that may become more palatable after spraying.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT Very toxic to aquatic life. DO NOT contaminate wetlands or watercourses, streams, rivers, or water used for irrigation, drinking, or other domestic purposes, with this product or used containers.
