GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Before opening, carefully read Directions for Use, Precautionary Statements, Safety Directions, and First Aid Instructions.

MIXING:

  • Mix with the required amount of water in the spray tank or mixing vessel.
  • Apply using a low-volume boom spray fitted with fan jets, or by aircraft.
  • Use mains or rainwater for mixing. If not available, water with a hardness of less than 500 ppm (expressed as calcium carbonate equivalent) can be used but is not preferred.
  • DO NOT tank mix Ammonium Sulphate with Butamine in hard water to avoid nozzle blockages.

APPLICATION:

  • Apply using boom or spot spray equipment. Application must be uniform.
  • Adjust nozzle type, output, speed, and pressure to deliver a Coarse spray quality (ASAE S 527).
  • Ground application: 110-220 litres per hectare.
  • Aerial application: a minimum of 40 litres of water per hectare.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • Butamine is compatible with Broadstrike but not for control of Paterson’s curse or doublegee.
  • Dimethoate, Metasystox, Le Mat, and Imidan effectiveness may be reduced by alkaline hydrolysis if tank-mixed with this product.
  • For these situations, the addition of LI 700 or Acidowet is recommended (add to the tank first).
  • Bonza Spray Adjuvant can improve control of weeds under some conditions.
  • When tank mixing, add the required amount of compatible product (and surfactant if recommended) when the spray tank is nearly full and while continuously agitating.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING:

  • Butamine 500 Herbicide is a Group I herbicide, a member of the phenoxys group with disruptors of cell growth mode of action.
  • Some naturally-occurring weed biotypes resistant to Butamine 500 Herbicide and other Group I herbicides may exist.
  • Resistant weeds won't be controlled by Butamine 500 Herbicide.
  • Detection of resistant weeds prior to use is difficult, and Grow Choice Pty Ltd accepts no liability for losses resulting from resistance.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS:

  • Drift Warning: DO NOT apply under conditions causing spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants.
  • Avoid spray drift and vapor movement onto crops like cotton, tobacco, tomatoes, vines, lupins, fruit trees, and ornamentals.

PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK:

  • SPRAY-GRAZING WARNING: Some pasture weeds can be controlled by Spray-Grazing, but it may lead to stock deaths and other problems.
  • Increased intake of poisonous plants may occur. Take care with specific pasture weed dominance.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers, or waterways with the product or used containers.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:

  • Store in the closed original container, in a cool, well-ventilated area. Avoid prolonged storage in direct sunlight.
  • Rinse containers thoroughly before disposal. Dispose of rinsate by adding it to the spray tank.
  • DO NOT dispose of undiluted chemical on-site. Wash and store cleaned containers for recycling.
  • If not recycling, deliver empty packaging to an approved waste management facility. DO NOT burn empty containers or product.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS:

  • Poisonous if swallowed. May irritate eyes and skin. Avoid contact. DO NOT inhale spray mist.
