GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Application Timing:

• Spray before weed seeds germinate.
• For optimal results, cultivate and seed or plant on the same day as spraying and water-in.
• Do not apply more than 3 days after cultivation.
• If weeds have emerged, weed or cultivate and water before application.
• The application quantity can be reduced by spraying strips over the crop and using cultivation or other herbicides between rows.
• Lower rate effective on lighter soils, depending on weeds and control period; higher rate recommended for heavier soils or if soil incorporation is needed.

SOIL PREPARATION:

• Soil should be moist to the surface at the time of application.
• Thoroughly prepare soil to a fine, even tilth, free of or low in trash.
• Seed or transplant within 24 hours of final cultivation.
• Spray immediately after seeding, transplanting, or lay-by cultivation.
• Use sprinkler irrigation immediately after spraying or furrow irrigation until the soil is wet.
• If rain is unlikely and sprinkler irrigation is unavailable, shallow soil incorporation may enhance effectiveness.
• DO NOT incorporate more than 2.5 cm deep.
• Cultivation should be avoided for as long as possible after application to maintain effectiveness.

MIXING:

• Thoroughly mix the required quantity with water and add to the spray tank with agitation.
• Maintain agitation during spraying.
• Use 450 liters or more of water per hectare.

WEEDS NOT CONTROLLED:

• Some weed species are not effectively controlled by Novaguard Chlorthal 750 WG Herbicide.
• Certain weeds like Galinsoga (Potato weed), Mustard, Clover, Bathurst Burr, Fumitory, Wild Oats, and Nut grass are known to be not controlled by this herbicide.
• Consider using other herbicides that are selective and effective against these specific weed species in some crops.
