GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING: Choice Dicamba 500 Herbicide, part of the Benzoic acid group, operates through the Disruptor of plant cell growth mode of action. Classified as a Group I Herbicide for weed resistance management, it is crucial to be aware of naturally occurring weed biotypes that may develop resistance due to genetic variability. Repeated use of Choice DICAMBA 500 and similar herbicides can lead to resistant weeds dominating the population. Grow Choice accepts no liability for losses resulting from the failure of DICAMBA 500 to control resistant weeds.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES:

  • Spray when weeds are young and actively growing, preferably before the 3-5 true leaf stage.
  • For Boom Application: Use not less than 50 liters of water per hectare unless otherwise specified.
  • For Aerial Application: Apply at least 25 liters of total spray volume per hectare, flying as low as practical to minimize drift.
  • For High Volume Application: Apply a minimum of 1,500 liters per hectare.
  • For Knapsack Application: 15-liter knapsack treats 150 square meters.

MIMOSA CONTROL:

  • Broadacre Application: Apply 2-2.4L/ha in 60 liters of water per hectare, preferably by helicopter.
  • High Volume Application: Apply 400mL in 110L water using ground equipment, ensuring thorough wetting of leaves and stems.
  • Basal Bark Application: Apply 60mL in 15L water to plants with less than 5cm basal diameter, spraying around the base and up the stem.
  • Cut Stump Application: Apply 60mL in 15L water on plants up to 10cm basal diameter, spraying the freshly cut surface.

PLANT BACK PERIODS for Conservation Tillage: Wait for specified periods before planting into treated soils. At least 15mm of rainfall is required if applied to dry soil before the Plant Back Period begins.

COMPATIBILITY: Choice DICAMBA 500 is compatible with Terbutryn, Glyphosate, Chlorsulfuron, Metsulfuron, 2,4-D Amine, 2,4-D Ester, Diuron, and Molinate. Also compatible with Atrazines, though some temporary visible effects in crop growth may occur when used in combination.

PROTECTION GUIDELINES:

  • Avoid spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants/crops, cropping lands, or pastures.
  • Calibrate spray equipment accurately before working on crops.
  • Seal the container when not in use to prevent damage.
  • Minimize spray drift using low pressure and appropriate nozzles.
  • Do not apply near desirable trees, plants, or in locations where the chemical may come into contact with roots.
  • Do not use in high wind conditions.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:

  • Store in the closed, original container in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area away from children, animals, food, feedstuffs, herbicides, seed, and fertilizers.
  • Rinse containers before disposal, and do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on site.
  • Follow recommended recycling practices or bury empty containers in compliance with local regulations.
  • Do not burn empty containers or product.
  • For refi llable containers (110L): Empty container fully into application equipment, then return to the point of supply for refi ll or storage.
