General Instructions:
Before using Clethora 240EC Herbicide, ensure the previous product's clean-out procedure (particularly sulfonylurea herbicides) sprayed with the equipment was done properly.

Mixing: To ensure even mixing, half-fill the spray tank with clean water, then add the required amount of Clethora 240EC Herbicide. Add the spray additive and agitate thoroughly, then add the remainder of the water. Agitate again before spraying commences.

Application:

Ground Application: Use calibrated spray equipment producing a medium droplet size. Apply in a minimum of 50 liters of water per hectare. Increase to 150 L/ha for dense populations.

Aerial Application: Clethora 240EC Herbicide can be applied through aircraft fitted with boom or Micronair equipment. Use a spray volume of 20 to 30 L/ha, adjusting equipment for a medium droplet size. Best results in light crosswinds. Avoid temperature inversions or very low relative humidity. Take care to avoid drift damage to adjoining grass crops.

Compatibility:

Tank mixing with paraquat or ametryn may reduce weed control. Avoid tank mixing with organophosphate insecticides, or applying them 7 days prior or 3 days after Clethora 240EC Herbicide application to prevent severe crop injury. When mixed with another grass herbicide, Clethora 240EC Herbicide should be used at the full label rate specified for target weed species. Do not mix with Brodal, Basagran, or Blazer. Apply separately.

Resistance Warning:

Clethora 240EC Herbicide belongs to the cyclohexanedione group of herbicides with the inhibitor of acetyl coA carboxylase mode of action. Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to Clethora 240EC Herbicide and other Group 1 Herbicides may exist, leading to dominance in weed populations over time.

Precautions:

Ornamentals and trees: Conduct tests on a smaller number of plants before widespread use. Re-entry Period: Do not enter treated areas until the spray has dried. If prior entry is necessary, wear appropriate protective clothing and gloves. Protection of Crops, Native, and Non-Target Plants: Avoid spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants or crops. Protection of Wildlife, Fish, Crustaceans, and Environment: Prevent contamination of streams, rivers, or watercourses.

Storage and Disposal:

Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Do not store in direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Triple-rinse containers before disposal. Follow state legislative requirements for disposal of rinsate or undiluted chemical. For drumMUSTER containers: Ensure they are clean, dry, and free of visible residues before recycling. For refillable containers: Empty contents fully into application equipment and return to the point of supply for refill or storage.
