GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

OzCrop Clodinafop Herbicide Application:

  • Apply only when weeds are actively growing.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING:

  • OzCrop Clodinafop Herbicide is a member of the aryloxyphenoxypropionate ("fop") group, inhibiting fat (lipid) synthesis. It's a Group A herbicide for weed resistance management.
  • Some weed biotypes resistant to OzCrop Clodinafop Herbicide and other Group A herbicides may exist due to genetic variability. Resistant weeds won't be controlled by OzCrop Clodinafop Herbicide.
  • Conduct a resistance test on populations resistant to "grass-specific" herbicides before use.
  • Avoid making more than one application of a Group A herbicide with the inhibition of fat (lipid) synthesis mode of action to a crop in the same season.
  • If resistance is suspected, OzCrop Clodinafop Herbicide or other Group A herbicides should not be used. Incorporate Integrated Weed Management (IWM) strategies.

MIXING:

  • Fill the spray tank to one-quarter full.
  • Add OzCrop Clodinafop Herbicide while adding water to reach the final spray volume.
  • Pour OzCrop Clodinafop Herbicide into the incoming water stream with good agitation.
  • Add required Amplify*, D-CTrate*, Hasten*, Hotwire*, or Uptake* oil just before the tank is full, with agitators in motion.
  • Follow the specified mixing order for different product types to avoid reactions.
  • Ensure complete dissolution of each component before adding the next.

MINIMUM OIL VOLUMES:

  • Minimum oil volumes depend on the type of oil used.
    • For oils at 1% v/v (e.g., D-C-Trate), DO NOT apply less than 500 mL oil/ha.
    • For oils at 0.5% v/v (e.g., Uptake, Hasten, Amplify, Hotwire), DO NOT apply less than 250 mL oil/ha.

CLEANING SPRAY EQUIPMENT:

  • After use, empty the tank, drain the system, and wash inside the tank with a pressure hose.
  • Clean filters in the tank, pump, line, and nozzles.
  • Rinse the system thoroughly after cleaning.

APPLICATION:

  • Ground Application:
    • Boom spray with flat fan nozzles.
    • Ensure good coverage with 50 to 110 L water per hectare.
    • Ideal droplet size is 200 to 300 microns VMD.
  • Aircraft Application:
    • Use 20 to 30 L water per hectare and spray 2 m to 3 m above the crop.
    • Ideal droplet size is 250 to 350 microns VMD.
    • For rotary atomizers (micronairs), use blade angles of 550 to 650.
    • For booms and nozzles, use flat fan nozzles with a spray angle of 650 to 900.
    • Avoid spraying if wind speeds are greater than 5 m/s. If spraying in calm conditions, use larger droplets and reduce flying height.
