GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Farmalinx Colossal Trio Insecticide is a potent combination providing both contact and residual control against a broad spectrum of insect pests in turf. It contains clothianidin, clofentezine, and abamectin, each with distinct modes of action, ensuring long-term efficacy against various pests.

MIXING:

  • Use clean and well-maintained spraying equipment. Half-fill the spray tank with clean water and initiate agitation. Add the required amount of the product directly to the water, then add the mixing partner and complete filling to the final volume. Spray immediately and maintain agitation throughout. Avoid leaving the spray mixture in the tank overnight or for extended periods without agitation.

APPLICATION:

  • Apply via ground boom sprayer, low-pressure hand wand, or hand gun sprayer. Adequate coverage is essential for the effectiveness of Colossal Trio. Calibrate equipment to ensure even distribution at the correct volume. The application volume should be sufficient to ensure thorough coverage of turf leaves with penetration into the crowns. The total application volume should range from 400 to 800 L/ha. Use coarse droplets for higher cut turf to mitigate spray shielding effects.

INSECTICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING:

  • Colossal Trio contains insecticides from Group 4A, Group 10A, and Group 6. Insect populations may develop resistance if exposed repeatedly. Follow specific resistance management strategies and consult local suppliers or Farmalinx representatives for guidance.

RE-ENTRY PERIOD:

  • General Public: Avoid entry into treated areas until the spray has dried.

  • Occupational Users: Entry should be restricted until the spray has dried, unless wearing appropriate protective clothing. Clothing must be laundered after each use.

PROTECTION OF HONEY BEES AND OTHER INSECT POLLINATORS:

  • Highly toxic to bees and harmful to bee brood. Avoid spraying while bees are actively foraging and minimize spray drift to flowering weeds or crops nearby. Notify beekeepers before spraying and conduct spraying early morning or late evening when bees are less active.

Integrated Pest Management:

  • Colossal Trio may be toxic to beneficial arthropods. Minimize spray drift to mitigate harmful effects on beneficial arthropods outside the treatment area.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE, AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS:

  • Avoid application under conditions or with equipment that may cause spray drift onto adjacent crops, pastures, or livestock.
