GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
INSECTICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING
GROUP 1B 7A 5 INSECTICIDE
For insecticide resistance management Conserve On-Farm Grain Protector contains a Group 1B, 7A and 5 insecticides. Some naturally occurring insect biotypes resistant to Conserve On-Farm Grain Protector and other Group 1B, 7A and 5 insecticides may exist through normal genetic variability in any insect population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if Conserve On-Farm Grain Protector or other Group 1B, 7A and 5 insecticides are used repeatedly. The effectiveness of Conserve On-Farm Grain Protector on resistant individuals could be significantly reduced. Since occurrence of resistant individuals is difficult to detect prior to use, Dow AgroSciences accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of Conserve On-Farm Grain Protector to control resistant insects.

MIXING
Agitate or shake the Part B container immediately prior to use. Slowly add the appropriate amount of Part B into
agitating water and ensure that Part B is thoroughly mixed before adding the appropriate amount of Part A. Maintain agitation by mechanical or hydraulic action at all times during mixing and agitation. Use clean water only (pH 5-9). Do NOT mix undiluted Part A and Part B together at any stage.

EQUIPMENT
The diluted spray should be applied through special grain spraying equipment. The spray nozzle(s) must be capable of delivering an even spray pattern, and the output of spray must be regulated according to the flow of the grain. The spray use rate, measured in litres per hour, must equal the auger or elevator uptake in tonnes per hour.

APPLICATION ON STORED CEREAL GRAIN
Uniform application through the grain is essential for maximum efficacy. It is essential to ensure that the grain is free from infestation and of sufficiently low moisture content at intake i.e. less than 12% moisture and a storage temperature below 27°C.

CLEANING
After using Conserve On-Farm Grain Protector:
Empty the spray tank completely and drain the whole system. Drain the spray unit and clean any filters in the tank, pump, lines, hoses and nozzles.
After cleaning the spray unit as above, quarter fill with clean water and circulate through the pump, lines, hoses and nozzles. Drain and repeat the rinsing procedure twice.
Discard rinse water on wasteland away from desirable plants and water sources.

EXPORT OF TREATED PRODUCE
Users should note that suitable MRLs or import tolerances may not have been established in all markets for produce treated with Conserve On-Farm Grain Protector. Before treating grain for export, please verify the latest information on MRLs and import tolerances.

SMALL SPILL MANAGEMENT
Do not touch or walk through spilled material. Wear a
face shield or goggles, overalls buttoned to neck and wrist, chemical resistant gloves and boots. Stop leak when safe to do so. Dam area and prevent entry into waterways and drains.
Small spills/leaks: Contain and absorb small spills with a proprietary absorbent suitable for chemical spills or inert materials such as sand or earth. Collect spilled product and place in sealable container for disposal.
If spilled inside a building wash contaminated surfaces to deactivate the chlorpyrifos-methyl with a solution of bleach (sodium hypochlorite) prepared according to the bleach label instructions for normal cleaning purposes. Contain and absorb wash water for disposal in the same sealable container. Dam the area of large spills and report them to Dow AgroSciences Emergency Services at 1-800 033 882.
