GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
INSECTICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING
GROUP 5 INSECTICIDE
For insecticide resistance management Conserve Grain Protector is a Group 5 insecticide. Some naturally occurring insect biotypes resistant to Conserve Grain Protector and other Group 5 insecticides may exist through normal genetic variability in any insect population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if Conserve Grain Protector or other Group 5 insecticides are used repeatedly. The effectiveness of Conserve Grain Protector on resistant individuals could be significantly reduced. Since occurrence of resistant individuals is difficult to detect prior to use, Dow AgroSciences accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of Conserve Grain Protector to control resistant insects.

MIXING
Use clean water (pH 5-9) and only make sufficient material for the job at hand. Agitate or shake the Conserve Grain Protector container immediately prior to use. Half fill the spray tank with water and add the appropriate amount of Conserve Grain Protector. Ensure Conserve Grain Protector is thoroughly mixed with water before adding any other protectant, then complete filling of water in the tank and agitate well before use. Maintain thorough agitation by mechanical or hydraulic action at all times during mixing and application.
Diluted spray solution should be used within 72 hours, or within 48 hours if tank-mixing another grain protectant with Conserve Grain Protector.

EQUIPMENT
The diluted spray should be applied through specialised grain spraying equipment. The spray nozzle(s) must be capable of delivering an even spray pattern, and the output of spray must be regulated according to the flow of the grain. The spray use rate, measured in litres per hour, must equal the auger or elevator uptake in tonnes per hour,
e.g. for a grain uptake of 20 tonnes per hour, the nozzle(s) must deliver 20 litres per hour of spray solution.

CLEANING UP
On completion, wash out spraying equipment and mixing and measuring utensils with water. Clean up for mixtures should follow the instructions for the mixing partner (if used).

COMPATIBILITY
Conserve Grain Protector is compatible in mixture with the following products: Reldan Grain Protector, Rizacon S IGR Grain Protector or Reldan pluS IGR Grain Protector. Such mixtures should be used within 48 hours after preparation.
Mixtures with other grain protectant products, such as fenitrothion-based insecticides, should be tested before mixing commercial quantities.
