GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

ACP Conversion 240 Herbicide is a selective herbicide for the control of certain annual grasses and broadleaf weeds. It is applicable in dormant apples, grapes, peaches, pears, plums, apricots, almonds, macadamias, duboisia, tobacco, coffee, pyrethrum, winter cereals, tropical/sub-tropical crops, brassicas, onions, Eucalyptus, Pinus spp., and other forestry trees used in forestry.

  • Applied to weed-free soil or seedling weeds at the 4 to 6 true leaf stage.
  • Do not disturb or incorporate into well-prepared weed-free soil after application.
  • Weed control for up to 6 months is expected, but spot treatment for escape weeds may be necessary.
  • For seedling weeds, add a 1000 g/L non-ionic surfactant at recommended rates for better activity.
  • Duboisia seedlings and mature plants tolerate "over-the-top" applications.
  • Eucalypt and pine transplants and established trees can tolerate "over-the-top" applications.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING:

  • ACP Conversion 240 Herbicide is a Group G herbicide.
  • Mode of action: inhibits protoporphyrinogen oxidase.
  • Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to the product may exist.
  • Resistant weeds may dominate the population with repeated use.
  • No liability accepted for losses resulting from the failure to control resistant weeds.

TIMING:

  • For optimum residual weed control, apply to the soil surface before weed emergence.
  • The area should be left undisturbed during the desired weed control period.
  • When applied to seedling weeds, they should be young and actively growing.
  • Weed control for up to 6 months is expected.

MIXING:

  • Shake well before use.
  • When using alone, fill the spray tank one-third full with water, add ACP Conversion 240 Herbicide with running pump and agitator, then complete filling.
  • Add a non-ionic surfactant if required near the end of the filling process to minimize foaming.
  • When tank mixing, follow label directions, and add other products as recommended.

APPLICATION:

  • Apply as a ground spray directed at the base of crop plants.
  • Use a calibrated low-pressure herbicide sprayer with flat fan or hollow cone nozzle.
  • Ensure thorough coverage of foliage for maximum knockdown effect.
  • Use 250 to 500 L of water/ha for bare soil and 250 to 1,350 L/ha for seedling weeds.
  • Higher volumes for high weed density.

CROP SAFETY:

  • Apply around dormant peach, plum, apricot, almond, apple, and pear trees and grapevines of all ages at rates less than 1.0 L/ha.
  • Trees and grapevines should be at least 3 years old for rates of 3.0 L/ha and above.
  • Do not apply once bud swell has occurred at rates greater than 1.0 L/ha.
  • Duboisia seedlings and mature plants tolerate "over-the-top" applications.
  • At the 75 mL/ha rate, apply as directed before sowing winter cereals.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • Compatible with various herbicides as mentioned in the label.

RE-ENTRY PERIOD:

  • Do not enter treated areas until the spray has dried.
  • If prior entry is necessary, wear chemical-resistant footwear.
