For post-emergent control of annual ryegrass in barley and wheat as specified in the DIRECTIONS FOR USE table

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Results are best under good growing conditions, when weeds and crop are actively growing. Application to weeds or crop under stress (eg. due to continuous frosts, dry, waterlogged, nutrient deficient or diseased conditions) should be avoided. Refer to Crop Safety below.

Resistant Weeds Warning

Decision Selective Herbicide is a member of the aryloxyphenoxypropionate and cyclohexanedione group of herbicides. Decision is an inhibitor of acetyl CoA carboxylase. For weed resistance management Decision is a Group A herbicide. Some naturally-occurring weed biotypes resistant to Decision, and other Group A herbicides, may exist through normal genetic variability in any weed population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the weed population if these herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds will not be controlled by Decision or other Group A herbicides.
Since occurrence of resistant weeds is difficult to detect prior to use, Bayer CropScience Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of Decision to control resistant weeds.
DO NOT make more than one application of a Group A Herbicide to a crop per season. For further information on herbicide resistance management consult a Bayer CropScience representative, CropLife, trained agricultural consultant or local department agronomist.

Compatibility

Mixtures of Decision with broadleaf herbicides may lead to a reduction in annual ryegrass control and/or varying degrees of crop discolouration/damage.
Decision may be mixed with Tigrex® Selective Herbicide applied at up to 0.5 L/ha or with Giant® Selective Herbicide applied at up to 0.6 L/ha without adverse crop effects and with less than 10% loss in efficacy when applied as directed. Use a wetting agent, e.g. BS1000® at 0.25% v/v instead of Uptake, D-C-Trate or Hasten when tank mixing with Tigrex or Giant. This mixture should only be applied to crops that have reached the 3 leaf stage.
Decision may be mixed with MCPA LVE applied at up to 0.7 L/ha without adverse crop effects and with less than 10% loss in efficacy when applied as directed. Use Hasten at 1.0% v/v when tank mixing with MCPA LVE. Observe crop growth stage restrictions for MCPA LVE as detailed on the MCPA LVE label. Other formulations of MCPA, e.g. amine, salt have not been evaluated and are not recommended to be tank mixed with Decision.
For mixtures of Decision with Tigrex, Giant and MCPA LVE reduction in annual ryegrass control can be minimised by using a minimum of 80 L water per ha, and closely following all use recommendations and restrictions.
Allow at least 10 days between any application of Decision and herbicides containing 2,4-D, 2,4-DB, MCPA or dicamba, except those listed as compatible with Decision e.g. Tigrex, Giant or MCPA LVE. Decision should preferably be applied first.

Application

Ensure that complete and even spray coverage of weeds is achieved. Aim to apply Decision to the growing point (base) of annual ryegrass. Equipment must be set up to ensure penetration of the crop canopy.

Mixing

When applying Decision with Uptake, D-C-Trate or Hasten, add half the required amount of water to the tank, then add the measured amount of Decision with the agitator running. Where Hasten is used, then add a zinc oxide product as recommended. Continue filling to the desired level and then, with the agitator still running, add the required amount of Uptake, D-C-Trate or Hasten.
When applying Decision with Tigrex or Giant and a wetting agent, add half the required amount of water to the tank, then with the agitator running, add the measured amount of Decision and continue agitation for 2 to 3 minutes; add the Tigrex or Giant and continue agitation for a further 2 to 3 minutes; add the required amount of wetting agent, agitate for a further 2 to 3 minutes, then add the remainder of water.
When applying Decision with MCPA LVE and Hasten, add half the required amount of water to the tank, then with the agitator running, add the measured amount of Decision and continue agitation for 2 to 3 minutes; add the MCPA LVE and continue agitation for a further 2 to 3 minutes; add the required amount of Hasten, agitate for a further 2 to 3 minutes, then add the remainder of water.
Do NOT allow spray mix to sit overnight.
