Insecticide Resistance Warning

GROUP 3A INSECTICIDE Deltashield ULV is classified as a Group 3A Insecticide for insecticide resistance management. Continuous use may lead to the dominance of resistant insect biotypes, reducing the effectiveness of the insecticide. ChemAg Pty Ltd accepts no liability for losses resulting from the failure of Deltashield ULV to control resistant insects.

Specific Resistance Management: Deltashield ULV may be subject to specific resistance management strategies. Consult your local supplier, ChemAg representative, or agricultural agronomist for detailed information.

Application

Deltashield 27.5 Insecticide is a contact spray. Thorough and even coverage is crucial.

Export of Treated Produce

Growers exporting produce treated with Deltashield 27.5 Insecticide should be aware that suitable Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) or import tolerances may not be established in all markets. Check with ChemAg Pty Ltd for the latest information on MRLs and import tolerances before using the insecticide.

Equipment

Ground Spray: Standard low volume boom or high volume equipment may be used.

Aircraft: Deltashield 27.5 Insecticide may be applied by aircraft using water as a carrier. Water volumes of 10 to 30L/ha have given satisfactory results. It may also be used in combination with some ULV products or applied ULV in combination with D-C-Tron® Cotton Spray Oil.

Compatibility

Deltashield 27.5 Insecticide is compatible with various piperonyl butoxide formulations, fungicides, insecticides (e.g., chlorothalonil, dimethoate, mancozeb, metalaxyl, methamidophos, methomyl, methyl parathion, monotrotophos, Ovasyn™ Insecticide, pirimicarb), Wuxal® Liquid Foliar Nutrient, and most knockdown herbicides.

Mixing

• Water: Fill the spray tank with clean water to about ¾ full. Add the required quantity of Deltashield 27.5 Insecticide with agitators in motion. Add other products after Deltashield 27.5 Insecticide. Top up the tank to the required volume with clean water, with agitators operating.
• ULV: When applying as a ULV spray in combination with compatible ULV products, add Deltashield 27.5 Insecticide after the ULV product, ensuring no water is present.

Protection of Livestock

Dangerous to bees. Avoid spraying on plants in flower while bees are foraging. Repellent effects may last approximately 2 days.

Protection of Wildlife, Fish, Crustaceans, and Environment

Dangerous to fish. Avoid contamination of streams, rivers, or waterways with the product or used container.

Drift Warning

DO NOT apply under meteorological conditions or from spraying equipment that could cause spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants, adjacent crops, croplands, or pastures.

Storage and Disposal

• Store in the closed, original container in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from children, animals, food, feedstuffs, seed, and fertilizers.
• Triple rinse containers before disposal. Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site.
• If recycling, replace the cap and return clean containers to the recycler or designated collection point.
• If not recycling, break, crush, puncture, or bury empty containers in a landfill or disposal pit marked for this purpose.

Safety Directions

• Product is poisonous if swallowed. Facial skin contact may cause temporary facial numbness.
• Will damage eyes and irritate the skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
• Wear protective clothing, gloves, face shield, and goggles during handling and application.
• Wash contaminated skin immediately and eyes with water.
• After use, wash hands, gloves, face shield, and contaminated clothing thoroughly.
