GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Resistant Weeds Warning:

  • GROUP A HERBICIDE: Density WG Herbicide belongs to the cyclohexanedione group of herbicides with the inhibition of acetyl-coA carboxylase mode of action. It is classified as a Group A Herbicide for weed resistance management.
  • Some weed biotypes may naturally develop resistance through genetic variability in any weed population. Repeated use of herbicides from Group A, including Density WG Herbicide, may lead to the dominance of resistant weeds.
  • Resistant weeds won't be controlled by this product or any other Group A herbicides.
  • Detection of resistant weeds before use is challenging, and Sipcam Pacific Australia Pty Ltd Pty Ltd assumes no liability for losses resulting from the failure of this product to control resistant weeds.

MIXING:

  • Use only sprayers in good working condition with high-capacity agitation.
  • Clean the sprayer according to the label instructions on the previously used product before using Density WG Herbicide.
  • Use only clean water for the spray solution.
  • Ensure all in-line strainers and nozzle screens are 100 mesh or coarser.
  • DO NOT use cartridge or disc filters after the spray tank outlet.
  • Begin filling the spray tank with clean water and engage the agitator.
  • Add Density WG Herbicide slowly when the sprayer is half full of water.
  • DO NOT premix Density WG Herbicide.
  • Add the total required amount of Density WG Herbicide first before adding other herbicides or adjuvants.
  • Wait at least one minute after adding Density WG Herbicide before adding other products.
  • Slowly add Supercharge or Collaborate Spray Adjuvant last.
  • Continue filling the tank to the desired level with water.

SPRAYING INSTRUCTIONS: Ground Equipment:

  • Apply in a spray volume of 50 - 150 litres of water per hectare at a pressure of 250 - 350 kPa.
  • Use flat fan nozzles like Spraying Systems 110-01, 110-015, 110-02, or equivalent sizes.
  • DO NOT use 110-03 or larger nozzles with Density WG Herbicide.
  • DO NOT use floodjet nozzles, boomless jets, misters, or controlled droplet application equipment.
  • Nozzles may be angled forward 45 degrees for better penetration and coverage.
  • Maintain agitation until spraying is completed, even if stopped briefly.
  • If agitation is stopped for more than 5 minutes, re-suspend the spray solution before resuming spraying.
  • The spray mixtures of Density WG Herbicide and Supercharge or Collaborate Spray Adjuvant can be left overnight without loss of efficacy if re-suspended by stirring and/or agitation before re-use.

Aerial Equipment:

  • Apply through boom or Micronair units in 20-30 litres of water per hectare.
  • Higher volume is preferred for more reliable results.
  • Droplet size should be 200 - 250 microns (VMD).
  • Swath width should not be wider than recommended for the type of application unit.
  • Weed control from aerial application may not be as good as from ground application.

Crop Safety:

  • If applied to stressed crops or followed by stress, or if crop plants have less than 2 true leaves (Z12), yellowing or growth retardation may occur.
  • Crops usually recover without loss in yield. Avoid double spraying (overlap).

Plant Back Periods:

  • DO NOT plant sorghum, maize, or rice for four weeks after applying Density WG Herbicide.
  • Allow at least 10 days between application of Density WG Herbicide and any other herbicide, except Esteem, for which the interval should be 14 days after Density WG Herbicide.
  • Allow at least 10 days between application of Density WG Herbicide and any fertilizer treatment.
