General Instructions for agVantage DFF 500 SC Herbicide:

Target Crops:

• Designed for early post-emergence use in clover-based pasture, field peas, lentils, and lupins.
• May also be used as a pre-emergence spray on lupins in NSW, ACT, Vic, SA, and Tas.

Activity:

• Provides both contact and residual activity.
• Residual activity expected for up to 8 weeks under favorable growing conditions.
• Taken up by the shoots of germinating seeds and seedlings.

Effect on Weeds:

• Susceptible weeds germinate but show immediate chlorosis followed by a mauve-pink discoloration.
• Chlorosis spreads with aerial growth, leading to necrosis and death of plants.

Crop Response:

• Transient crop discoloration may occur after application.
• Lentils and lupins may exhibit yellow or white banding on leaves.
• In clover and field peas, white/pink coloration of leaf veins and tips may occur.
• Some crop height reduction may also occur.
• Crop development and subsequent growth are not affected, provided the crop is not stressed by other factors.

Crop Stress Factors:

• Crop should not be under stress from pre-emergent herbicide, disease, insect damage, nutrient deficiency, frost, extremes of pH, dry, or excessively moist conditions.

Compatibility:

• Some pre-emergence herbicides like atrazine can cause stress to certain crops, resulting in increased crop damage when using this product. Field peas are particularly sensitive.

Resistant Weeds Warning:

• agVantage DFF 500 SC Herbicide is a member of the Nicotinanalide group (Group F) of herbicides.
• Inhibits carotenoid biosynthesis as its mode of action.
• Weed resistance management is crucial; resistant weed biotypes may exist in any weed population.
• Repeated use may lead to resistant weeds dominating the population.
• This product may not control resistant weeds.
