Critical Comments: Rates towards the lower end of the range are sufficient when using the planting hole drench application method.
Rates towards the lower end of the range are sufficient when treating crops and varieties with growing seasons of less than 7 weeks duration.
Use rates toward the upper end of the range when season conditions favour rapid crop development or high pest pressure is anticipated.
Seedling tray application
Apply a single application as a slurry with water in a total volume of 2.5 L per 1000 seedlings. Some adjustment in water volume may be required depending on seedling cell size and moisture content. Final volume must be sufficient to wash product into the seedling root ball but not cause runoff or leaching from seedling cells.
Failure to wash product into the root ball may result in reduced control.
Where spray drift cannot be captured, calibrated shrouded sprayers or other methods to minimise spray drift must be used to deliver a uniform distribution to each transplant cell. Excess spray includes applied spray which misses the target, runs off or inadvertently runs through the cells. Any such excess must be captured and should be filtered and returned to the spray tank. DO NOT use watering cans, sprinklers or other imprecise methods of application.
Losses from spray drift or through runoff can be minimised by ensuring there are no gaps between the seedling trays during application.
Application should occur immediately before transplanting to a maximum of 24 hours before seedling dispatch. Some seedling damage may occur post application but symptoms are generally transient and will not affect crop vigour. Seedlings should be transplanted within 48 hours of application DO NOT apply the seedling drench within 48 hours of heavy rain being forecast, or irrigate to the point of runoff for 48 hours after drenching.
Watering of seedling trays after application may wash product from cells. If watering is required between application and transplanting, it should be done so sparingly, only as required. DO NOT allow run through from the cells.
Planting hole drench application
Apply directly to the planting hole at transplanting. Apply in a minimum of 50 mL of water per plant.

Before you use this product, you are advised to contact Syngenta Crop Protection and/or your industry body about any potential trade issues and their management.
DURIVO INSECTICIDE is a broad spectrum, systemic insecticide controlling key lepidopteron, sucking and chewing insect pests in a range of vegetable crops. When applied as a seedling drench prior to transplanting, DURIVO is readily taken up by the roots of seedling transplants and is rapidly translocated throughout the plant to provide residual insect control.
DURIVO is applied as a seedling drench and controls insects that feed on plant parts or fluids. It should have minimal impact on beneficial arthropods and therefore its use is compatible with integrated pest management programs.
Add the required amount of DURIVO to clean water in half-filled spray tank with the agitator or by-pass in operation. Maintain agitation while filling tank with remainder of water. Agitate whilst spraying.
DURIVO must be applied in a manner which allows the insecticide to be absorbed by plant roots. Sufficient water volumes to ensure uniform application and incorporation into seedling root zones are required.
Seedling Tray Application
DURIVO should be applied to the seedling tray prior to transplanting as a drench through dedicated nursery spray equipment such as a calibrated hydraulic boom.

Planting Hole Drench Application
DURIVO should be applied with water in a minimum total volume of 50 mL per seedling directly at the base of transplanted seedlings or into the planting hole immediately before transplanting. Actual total volume will vary depending on equipment used, pre-existing soil moisture levels and soil type but should be to ensure uniform application and distribution.
With applications made after transplanting DURIVO should be incorporated to seedling root depth using sufficient irrigation within 24 hours.
As formulations of other manufacturer’s products are beyond the control of Syngenta Crop Protection, and water quality varies with location, all mixtures should be tested prior to mixing or using commercial quantities.
Insecticide Resistance Warning
For insecticide resistance management DURIVO INSECTICIDE is a Group 4A and Group 28 insecticide. Some naturally occurring insect biotypes resistant to DURIVO and other Group 4A and/or Group 28 insecticides may exist through normal genetic variability in any insect population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if DURIVO or other Group 4A and/or Group 28 insecticides are used repeatedly. The effectiveness of DURIVO on resistant individuals could be significantly reduced. Since occurrence of resistant individuals is difficult to detect prior to use, Syngenta Crop Protection accepts no liability for any losses that may result from failure of DURIVO to control resistant insects. DURIVO may be subject to specific resistance management strategies. For further information contact your supplier, Syngenta Crop Protection representative or local agricultural department agronomist.
DURIVO is a Group 4A/Group 28 insecticide and should be applied in accordance with CropLife Insecticide Resistance Management guidelines.
In addition DURIVO should, wherever possible, be incorporated into an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program that includes cultural and biological control practices in association with the following IRM guidelines:
- DO NOT make more than one application of DURIVO per crop
- Following the use of DURIVO rotate to alternative mode of action (MoA) insecticide class(es) for a period covering at least one generation of the target pest. For many pests this will require a minimum of 2 applications of alternate MoA insecticides
- The total exposure period for all Group 28 insecticides applied through the crop cycle (from seedling to harvest) should not exceed 50% of the crop cycle
- DO NOT apply any further applications of Group 4A insecticides during the crop cycle following the use of DURIVO
