General Instructions:

Mixing:

  • Mix RELYON 2,4-DB Herbicide with the required water volume in the spray tank or mixing vessel. Use low volume boom spray with fan jets or aircraft for application. Preferably, use mains or rainwater for mixing. If unavailable, water with hardness less than 500 ppm can be used, but avoid mixing with ammonium sulfate in hard water to prevent nozzle blockages.

Application:

  • Apply uniformly using boom or spot spray equipment. Adjust nozzle type, output, speed, and pressure to deliver a Coarse spray quality (ASAE S 527) in 110-220 litres per hectare by ground application, or a minimum of 40 litres per hectare by aerial application.

Compatibility:

  • Tank mix RELYON 2,4-DB Herbicide with Flowable Diuron and Diuron 900 DF for use in Lucerne only. Be cautious as this mix can be damaging to clovers. It is compatible with Broadstrike but not effective against Paterson’s curse or doublegee.

  • Dimethoate, Metasystox, Le Mat, and Imidan may have reduced effectiveness due to alkaline hydrolysis when tank mixed with this product. Consider adding Acidowett first to mitigate this effect.

  • Bonza Spray Adjuvant can improve weed control under certain conditions but may increase early effects on legumes. Add compatible products and surfactants when the spray tank is nearly full and continuously agitate.

Resistance Warning:

  • RELYON 2,4-DB Herbicide belongs to Group I herbicides. Resistance may develop in weeds if repeatedly used, rendering them unresponsive to this herbicide or other Group I herbicides. Manage weed resistance effectively to avoid losses.

Precautions:

Protection of Crops, Native and Other Non-Target Plants:

  • Avoid spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants, adjacent crops, or pastures. Take precautions to protect crops such as cotton, tobacco, tomatoes, vines, lupins, fruit trees, and ornamentals.

Protection of Livestock:

  • Exercise caution when using the Spray-Grazing technique as it may increase intake of poisonous plants by stock, potentially causing stock deaths and other issues.

Protection of Wildlife, Fish, Crustaceans, and Environment:

  • Prevent contamination of streams, rivers, or watercourses with the product or used containers.

Storage and Disposal:

  • Store in a cool, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Triple rinse containers before disposal and follow local waste management regulations for recycling or disposal.

Safety Directions:

  • Poisonous if swallowed. May irritate the eyes and skin. Avoid contact and inhalation of spray mist. Wear protective clothing during preparation and use, and wash thoroughly after each use.
