GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - ENVOKE Herbicide

Overview: ENVOKE Herbicide is a water dispersible granule herbicide designed for controlling specific broadleaf weeds and suppressing nutgrass in cotton, with noticeable nutgrass control symptoms appearing within 1 to 2 weeks.

Recommendations: ENVOKE should be utilized as part of a comprehensive weed management program, incorporating various tools such as herbicides, cultivation, machinery hygiene, and crop competitiveness. Refer to CRC weed management guidelines for up-to-date information on effective weed control strategies in cotton, utilizing ENVOKE as one component of the overall program.

Cautions: Due to potential sensitivity of crops other than cotton to low soil concentrations of ENVOKE, careful consideration must be given to crop rotations before product use (refer to Crop Rotation Guidelines). Some yellowing of terminal growth may occur after an early post-emergent application, but effects are usually short-lived under normal conditions.

Mixing: ENVOKE Herbicide easily mixes with water; no pre-mixing is required. Follow these steps for proper mixing:

1. Fill the vat with clean water (not exceeding 25% capacity) and begin vigorous agitation.
2. Pour the required ENVOKE amount steadily into the vat for complete dispersion.
3. Avoid dumping the product all at once; allow vigorous bypass agitation.
4. After achieving complete dispersion, fill the vat to the desired spraying level.
5. Add the necessary quantity of BS1000 or Agral (0.25%) with continued agitation.
6. Thorough agitation, preferably mechanical, is crucial during product addition and spraying.
7. Recirculate if the solution is left standing; do not let it stand overnight.

Application: Apply using boom spray, with a minimum of 100 liters of water per hectare. Avoid overlapping spray runs. ENVOKE is primarily used as a band spray, applied using two directed flat fan nozzles on droppers positioned on either side of the plant row. Apply as a directed spray from the 8-leaf to row closure crop growth stage or when using rates above 15 g/ha.

Sprayer Cleanup: Follow these steps for thorough sprayer cleanup after using sulfonylurea products like ENVOKE:

1. Mix only the necessary spray solution.
2. Flush tank, hoses, boom, and nozzles with clean water.
3. Prepare a cleaning solution of 300 mL household chlorine bleach per 100 L of water.
4. Use a pressure washer to clean the inside of the spray tank.
5. Fill the sprayer with the cleaning solution and recirculate for at least 15 minutes.
6. Dispose of rinsate properly and repeat cleaning steps.
7. Remove and clean nozzles, screens, and strainers separately.
8. Rinse the entire spraying system with clean water.

Note: Ensure that the cleaning solution contacts all surfaces containing sulfonylurea residues.

Compatibility: ENVOKE is compatible with Staple.

Crop Rotation Guidelines: The treated area can be replanted based on the recommended intervals provided in the table, assuming ENVOKE application in a cotton crop reaching maturity in the same season.
