RESISTANCE

The risk management strategy to reduce the risk of resistance developing to EVITO T is based on several measures. Although strategies are presented individually, the integrated use of combinations of different strategies is feasible, beneficial, and often implemented:

• The combination of two active ingredients with different modes of action

• Maintaining the recommended label rate: Do not use reduced doses. It is possible that reducing the dose rate could enhance the development of resistance.

• Maximum of one application per season: Restrict numbers of treatments applied per growing season and apply only when strictly necessary.

• Apply fungicides during good conditions for spraying.

• Use as part of spray programs in tank mixtures and sequences with other fungicides with different modes of action.

• Integrated disease management: The integrated use of all types of countermeasures against crop disease is not only highly desirable on economic and environmental grounds, but is also a major strategy for avoiding or delaying fungicide resistance. The use of disease-resistant crop varieties, biological control agents, and appropriate hygienic practices, such as crop rotation, can reduce disease incidence and reduce the need for fungicide applications, thereby decreasing the potential selection of fungicide-resistant pathogens.

DISEASE CONTROL

EVITO T is recommended for the control of Sclerotinia sclerotorium in oilseed rape.

CROP SPECIFIC INFORMATION

EVITO T can be safely used on all varieties of oilseed rape.

Timing:
Apply as a protectant spray during flowering. The optimum timing is early to mid-flowering (GS 61-65). A second treatment with another authorised product may be required if disease pressure remains high.

Rate of Use:
Apply 0.8 L/ha in 200-400 L water/ha. Use the higher volume of water for dense crops.

MIXING AND APPLICATION

• Half fill the spray tank with clean water and begin agitation.

• Add the required quantity of EVITO T and add the remainder of the water.

• Continue agitation until spraying is completed.

• Wash out sprayer thoroughly after use by rinsing three times with water.
