GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
INSECTICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING:
- Genfarm Fipronil 200 Insecticide is a Group 2B insecticide.
- Resistance may develop in insect populations with repeated use.
- Landmark Operations Limited accepts no liability for losses resulting from the failure of the product to control resistant insects.
- Specific resistance management strategies may apply; contact local suppliers, Landmark representatives, or agricultural department agronomists for information.
RESIDUES MANAGEMENT IN EXPORT PRODUCE:
- MRLs or import tolerances may not exist in all markets for produce treated with Genfarm Fipronil 200 Insecticide.
- Growers should check with Landmark Operations Limited for the latest information on MRLs and import tolerances before use.
- Livestock exposed to fipronil residues should observe the 14-day grazing withholding period for compliance with Australian MRLs.
MIXING:
- For various crops, add the required amount of product to water in the spray tank while stirring or agitating. Continue agitation during spraying.
APPLICATION - Bananas:
- Ensure thorough coverage of butts, suckers, surrounding trash, and exposed soil.
- Aerial application should use techniques minimizing off-target spray drift. Do not use rotary atomizers. Recommended application volumes and droplet density specified.
PRECAUTIONS:
- Re-entry into treated areas is prohibited until the spray has dried.
- Wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing) during entry, laundering clothing after each day's use.
- Human flaggers in aerial spraying operations must be protected by enclosed cabs.
PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS:
- Do not apply in conditions or from equipment causing spray drift onto non-target plants/crops, cropping lands, or pastures.
PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK:
- Dangerous to bees; do not apply where bees from managed hives are foraging during flowering.
- Notify beekeepers before spraying and follow recommendations for safe intervals.
PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT:
- Do not contaminate waterways; highly toxic to fish and aquatic organisms.
- Avoid aerial application to brassicas and potatoes; employ a spray drift minimization strategy, especially near sensitive areas.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:
- Store in a closed, original container in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
- Containers can be recycled if clean, dry, and free of visible residues. Triple or pressure rinse before disposal.
- Do not dispose of undiluted chemical on site. Follow drumMUSTER or similar container management programs for recycling.
- If not recycling, deliver empty packaging to an approved waste management facility. Do not burn empty containers or product.
