GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

  • Important Notes:

    • Control of existing growth may take 3-12 months, depending on weather conditions and plant foliage senescence.

    • Residual control duration varies with soil type and rainfall until regeneration occurs from grass seed or surviving rhizomes.

    • Leaching and soil movement are possible under heavy rainfall or irrigation, while dry conditions favor persistence in the soil.

    • Avoid application in channels, drains, or areas where desirable plants' roots may extend, or where desirable plants grow close to the treated area.

    • Grass control in shaded conditions may be reduced.

    • Subterranean clover and other annual legumes may be damaged if exposed to the spray or if they germinate before product residues dissipate from the soil. Limit treatment to pasture land to once per year.

  • Mixing:

    • Highly soluble in water, add the required amount directly to the spray tank while stirring or with the agitator running.

    • For mixtures with dispersible powders, create a slurry first and add it to the half-filled spray tank with the agitator running, then add the required quantity of product and continue filling the tank. Maintain good agitation during spraying.

  • Wetting Agent:

    • Recommended to add 100 mL of a non-ionic surfactant (600 g/L) per 100 liters of spray.

  • Compatibility:

    • Can be mixed with Glyphosate to enhance knockdown of existing vegetation.

  • Application:

    • Calibrate boom spray equipment carefully for the required spray volume and ensure uniform spray pattern from nozzles.

  • Paddock Preparation:

    • Graze to reduce cover of desirable species before spraying.

  • Re-seeding:

    • Sow desirable pasture species after at least 100 mm of leaching rain, or defer sowing if drought conditions prevail.

  • Clean up:

    • Clean equipment after use.

Resistance Warning:

  • Group 0 Herbicide:

    • GENFARM FLUPROPANATE 745 SL HERBICIDE belongs to the chlorocarbonic acids group with the inhibitor of lipid synthesis mode of action.

    • It is important for weed resistance management as a Group 0 Herbicide.

    • Some weed biotypes resistant to this herbicide and other inhibitors of lipid synthesis may exist, and repeated use can lead to resistant weed dominance.

    • Nutrien Ag Solutions Limited accepts no liability for losses resulting from failure to control resistant weeds.
