GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

AC Fortifen 100EC Insecticide is a contact and residual insecticide/miticide. It is suitable for protective treatment at regular intervals or as a knockdown treatment to control existing pests. It is most effective when applied before pest populations become damaging.

APPLICATION:

• Ground rig or aircraft application is acceptable. Thorough coverage is crucial for adequate control.
• Do not apply as a fog or mist.

DILUTE SPRAYING:

• Use a sprayer designed for high water volumes, up to the point of run-off.
• Apply enough water to cover the crop to the point of run-off without excessive run-off.
• Dilute spray volume may vary based on sprayer settings, industry guidelines, or expert advice.
• Add the specified product amount for each 100L of water.

CONCENTRATE SPRAYING:

• Use a sprayer designed for concentrate spraying with water volumes less than run-off.
• Determine appropriate dilute spray for crop canopy.
• Calculate concentrate mixing rate based on dilute rate and concentration factor.
• Adjust spray volume, product amount, and sprayer setup as the crop grows.

GROUND APPLICATION:

• Apply as a fine spray using hollow cone nozzles with a droplet size of 150 to 200 microns.
• Application volume depends on the crop type (e.g., 50-200L/ha for broadacre crops).

AERIAL APPLICATION:

• Use at least 20 L/ha of total spray volume.
• Apply during cooler parts of the day or night to reduce drift.
• Implement a spray drift minimization strategy.

SOIL APPLIED SPRAYS:

• Apply as a coarse spray or band treatment based on crop and pest type.

MONITORING:

• For Citrus leaf-eating weevil, monitor at 1-2 week intervals starting in mid-October.
• Shake branches over a polystyrene fruit box under the tree. Treatment is needed if 25 beetles or more are recorded in consecutive counts.

MIXING:

• Add the required quantity of AC Fortifen 100EC Insecticide to water in the spray tank.
• Mix thoroughly and maintain agitation during mixing and application.

COMPATIBILITY:

• Compatible with commonly used fungicides and herbicides. Refer to the label for specific details.

SURFACTANTS:

• AC Fortifen 100EC Insecticide contains a surfactant. Additional surfactant may be necessary in certain situations.

NOTICE:

• In areas with Helicoverpa (= Heliothis) armigera resistance, adhere to the Summer Crop Insecticide Strategy to contain resistance.
• Failure to follow the strategy may result in widespread resistance affecting the future viability of summer cropping.
