GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Glymount 540K is a non-volatile, non-selective, water-soluble liquid herbicide effective against both annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds in diverse agricultural and non-agricultural settings. It is suitable for weed control in agricultural land before sowing edible or non-edible crops (excluding transplanting tomato seedlings).

When used before transplanting crops into plastic mulch, caution is advised to remove residues from the plastic through natural rainfall or sprinkler irrigation before transplanting.

Glymount 540K is absorbed by plant foliage and stems, providing immediate inactivation in the soil without residual weed control. It moves throughout the plant, from contact to the root system. Initial effects on annual weeds manifest in 3 to 7 days, while perennial weeds may take longer, especially in cool or cloudy conditions.

CROP ESTABLISHMENT:

Glymount 540K is recommended for controlling emerged weeds before crop establishment. Favorable conditions for crop emergence and establishment are crucial after herbicide application. In areas with heavy weed growth or unfavorable soil conditions, delay planting to allow weed decay and the development of suitable soil conditions.

Incorporating green or decaying vegetation may slow crop emergence, especially in cold and wet conditions. Grazing and cultivation to leave trash on the surface can reduce vegetation and assist weed decay.

MIXING:

Glymount 540K readily mixes with water. Avoid using water with suspended clay or organic matter or high levels of calcium, magnesium, or bicarbonate ions. Do not mix, store, or apply the product in galvanized or unlined steel containers. Use non-corrosive containers like stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, fiberglass, or plastic.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Fill the spray tank 1/3 to 1/2 full with clean water and start agitation.
  2. If ammonium sulfate is recommended, add Liquid Spraymate Liase at 2L/100L spray solution and mix thoroughly.
  3. Add recommended herbicide/insecticide/additive and mix thoroughly.
  4. Add Glymount 540K and remaining water. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Add surfactant, if required, near the end of the filling process to minimize foaming.
  6. Maintain adequate agitation during application and use the tank mix promptly. Clean all equipment after use by thoroughly washing with clean water.

TANK MIXTURES:

Glymount 540K may be tank-mixed with specific herbicides, insecticides, and adjuvants. Follow all label directions, plant-back periods, and safety guidelines for tank-mix products. In multiple product tank mixes, a minimum water volume of 50L/ha is recommended.

APPLICATION:

  • Boom Equipment: Recommended spray volume is 80L/ha or less. Nozzles and pressure settings should produce MEDIUM or MEDIUM-COARSE droplets at the target. Avoid settings that produce VERY FINE or FINE droplets prone to loss or drift.
  • Wiper Equipment: Operate a minimum of 10cm above crops or pastures. Weeds should be at least 15cm above the crop or pasture during application.
  • Aerial Equipment: Apply using boom or Micronair equipment with a minimum spray volume of 20L/ha. Swath width, droplet size, and application conditions should be considered for optimal deposition and to avoid drift.

AVOID DRIFT:

Do not apply under conditions likely to cause drift onto nearby susceptible crops, pastures, or other sensitive plants. Avoid light winds, inversion conditions, or wind speeds exceeding 12km/hr.

APPLICATION CHECKLIST:

  • Do not treat weeds under poor growing conditions (moisture stress, waterlogging, severe frost, insect damage, etc.).
  • Do not add surfactants, adjuvants, or other pesticides unless directed.
  • Rainfall within 1 hour of application causing runoff may require re-treatment.
  • A withholding period for grazing is not required; however, grazing should be delayed for herbicide uptake.
  • Apply treatments to weeds with at least one true leaf (broadleaf weeds) or two leaves (grasses).
