General Instructions:

Crop Establishment: Glyphix Max Herbicide is recommended for controlling emerged weeds prior to crop establishment. Cultivation and/or planting operations should follow herbicide application to provide conditions suitable for crop emergence and establishment. Delay planting in areas with heavy weed growth or unsuitable soil conditions to allow for weed decay or improvement of soil conditions.

Mixing: Glyphix Max Herbicide mixes readily with water. Avoid using water containing suspended clay or organic matter. Do not mix or apply this product in galvanized steel or unlined steel containers. Use stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, fiberglass, plastic, or plastic-lined containers or spray tanks. Thoroughly rinse equipment after each use.

Tank Mixtures: Glyphix Max Herbicide may be tank-mixed with various herbicides, insecticides, and adjuvants. Always read and follow label directions, restrictions, plantback intervals, withholding periods, and safety precautions for tank-mix products. Maintain good in-tank agitation during application.

Application:

  • Boom Equipment:

    • Use a spray volume of 80L/ha or less for optimal performance.

    • Select nozzles and pressure settings to produce MEDIUM or MEDIUM-COARSE droplets.

    • Avoid using nozzles or pressure settings that produce VERY FINE or FINE droplets to minimize drift.

  • Wiper Equipment:

    • Use wiper equipment to apply Glyphix Max Herbicide, avoiding contact with desirable vegetation.

    • Operate wiper equipment at least 10cm above the crop or pasture.

    • Apply when weeds are at least 15cm above the crop or pasture.

  • Aerial Equipment:

    • Apply using boom or Micronair equipment with a spray volume of not less than 20L/ha.

    • Adjust settings to produce a median droplet diameter of 250-350 microns.

    • Thoroughly wash aircraft after each day of spraying to remove herbicide residues.

Application Considerations:

  • Terrain and Weather Conditions:

    • Adjust water volume and droplet diameter for hilly terrain.

    • Avoid applying at temperatures above 30°C or under inversion conditions.

    • Do not apply under very light winds (less than 4km/h) or when wind speeds exceed 12km/h.

  • Drift Management:

    • Avoid spraying equipment or weather conditions that may cause drift onto nearby susceptible crops, pastures, or sensitive plants.

Application Checklist:

  • Treat weeds under suitable growing conditions.

  • Do not add surfactants, adjuvants, or other pesticides unless directed.

  • Rainfastness may be reduced under certain conditions; consider using Wetter TX to improve rainfastness on winter annual weeds.

  • No grazing withholding period is required, but delay grazing until herbicide uptake is ensured.

  • Apply treatments to weeds with adequate leaf surface area for herbicide uptake.

  • After heavy grazing, allow regrowth before spraying and use higher recommended rates if needed.
