GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Smart Glyphosate 450 Herbicide is a non-volatile, non-selective, water-soluble liquid herbicide with non-selective herbicidal activity. Follow these general instructions for optimal use:

• Absorption and Movement: This herbicide is absorbed by plant foliage and green stems, moving through the plant from contact points to the root system. Effects may take 3-7 days for annual weeds or 2-3 weeks for perennial weeds.

• Residual Control: Provides no residual weed control. Apply to weeds with at least one true leaf (broadleaf) or two leaves (grasses).

• Application Timing: Apply when weeds are actively growing. Avoid treatment under poor growing conditions or when covered with dust, silt, or during dew or rain.

• Crop Establishment: Recommended for controlling emerged weeds before crop establishment. Sowing can proceed one day after spraying on friable soils with light weed cover.

• Mixing: Mixes readily with water. Do not use galvanized steel or unlined steel containers; use stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, fiberglass, or plastic. Clean equipment thoroughly after use.

TANK MIXTURES/COMPATIBILITY

• Herbicides: Compatible with atrazine, 2,4-D ester, dicamba, triclopyr 600, trifluralin, chlorsulfuron, simazine, pendimethalin, metsulfuron methyl, triasulfuron, clopyralid 300, L.V.E. MCPA, oxyfluorfen 240, and more.

• Insecticides: Compatible with dimethoate, Imidan, Le-mat Chlorpyrifos 500, Perfekthion EC 400, Sumithion ULV, and emulsifiable concentrates of dimethoate and fenitrothion.

• Additives: Use Spraymate Liase (ammonium sulfate) at 2kg or 2L per 100 liters to alleviate adverse water conditions. Other additives include Spraymate LI 700 Surfactant, Spraymate Activator, and Wetter TX Surfactant.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL TANK MIXTURES

1. Fill the spray tank ⅓ to ½ full with clean water and start agitation.
2. Use Spraymate Liase (ammonium sulfate) where required.
3. Add recommended herbicide/insecticide/additive and mix thoroughly.
4. Add Smart Glyphosate 450 Herbicide and remaining water. Mix thoroughly.
5. Add surfactant near the end of the filling process to minimize foaming.
6. Maintain adequate agitation during application and use the tank mix promptly.

APPLICATION

• Boom Equipment: Apply in spray volumes of 25-100 L/ha. Use nozzles producing a MEDIUM to COARSE spray. Adjust boom height for double overlap of nozzle patterns.

• Aerial Equipment: Apply in pasture or fallow situations. Use recommended rates up to 3.2L/ha. Apply in a minimum spray volume of 20L/ha. Do not apply in temperatures above 30°C.

• Wiper Equipment: Use wiper equipment for specific applications. Operate at least 10 cm above the crop or pasture. Speed of travel should not exceed 8 km/h.

• Application on Hilly Terrain: Adjust spraying height and increase water volume to 30-80 L/ha with COARSE spray quality nozzles.

• Application under Hot Conditions: Increase water volume to at least 30L/ha and use COARSE spray quality nozzles when temperature exceeds 25°C. Do not apply by aircraft above 30°C.
