GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Product Overview: Pacific Glyphosate 450 SL Herbicide is a non-selective liquid herbicide effective in controlling many annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds. It is suitable for use in crop areas, land preparations, and non-crop areas. This herbicide is deactivated upon contact with the soil and does not provide residual weed control.

Mode of Action:

  • Absorption and Translocation: Absorbed by plant foliage and green stems, moving through the plant from point of contact to the root system.
  • Visible Effects: Gradual yellowing and wilting, leading to complete browning of above-ground growth and deterioration of underground plant parts.

Timing and Effects on Weeds:

  • Timing: Visible effects on annual weeds take 3 to 7 days, while perennial weeds may take 2 to 3 weeks or longer depending on weather conditions.
  • Withholding Period: No withholding period is required, but grazing of treated areas should be delayed at least one day after treatment for annual weeds and 7 days for perennial weeds.

Resistant Weeds Warning:

  • Pacific Glyphosate 450 SL Herbicide belongs to the glycine group of herbicides and is a Group M Herbicide.
  • Weed resistance may occur through normal genetic variability; resistant weeds won't be controlled.
  • Pacific Agriscience Pty Ltd is not liable for losses due to resistance.

Crop Establishment:

  • Recommended for controlling emerged weeds before crop establishment.
  • Suitable cultivation and/or sowing operations are required to provide satisfactory seedbed conditions.
  • Delay sowing in heavy weed growth until decay and soil conditions allow a favorable seedbed.

Mixing and Application:

  1. Clean spray tank before use.
  2. Fill the tank with half the required water.
  3. Add Pacific Glyphosate 450 SL Herbicide, mix well, then add the remaining water.
  4. Add surfactant last to minimize foaming.
  5. Agitate well before spraying.
  6. Use clean water for spray solutions, as hard water containing calcium salts may inactivate glyphosate.
  7. Use only specified materials for mixing, storing, and applying (stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, fiberglass, plastic).

Tank Mixes:

  • Follow label directions, restraints, plant back periods, withholding periods, and safety instructions for tank mix products.
  • Compatible with certain insecticides and herbicides (chlorpyrifos, dimethoate, fenitrothion, gusithion A1, Imidan1, Le Mat1, Lorsban1, metasystox, Sumithion1).
  • Specific recommendations for tank mixes with atrazines/triazines, dicamba, 2,4-D, chlorsulfuron, metsulfuron, and Goal1 CT.

General Spraying Instructions:

  • Do not spray if rain is likely within 6 hours; heavy rainfall within 2 hours may require repeat treatment.
  • Do not add extra surfactant or mix with other agricultural chemicals, herbicide oils, or materials unless directed.
  • Apply at spray volumes of 25 to 100 L/ha using suitable equipment.

Protection of Wildlife, Environment, and Non-Target Plants:

  • Avoid contamination of dams, rivers, or streams; do not apply to weeds in or over water.
  • Prevent spray drift; do not spray under conditions conducive to drift.
  • Protect crop, native, and non-target plants from damage; avoid spray drift.
  • Do not re-use containers for other purposes.

Storage and Disposal:

  • Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area; avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
  • Rinse containers before disposal; do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site.
  • Follow specific guidelines for landfill disposal or recycling; do not burn empty containers.
  • For refillable containers, return to the point of supply for refill or storage.
