GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
All Applications:
- Reduce "fines" incidence by using correct nozzles and operating pressures.
- Regularly replace worn or old nozzles and calibrate equipment.
- Follow crop guidelines below to prevent rotational crop injury.
Fallow Application:
- Apply Gundy 240 in fallow before planting various crops (see FOLLOW CROPS).
- Provides short-term (6 to 12 weeks) pre-emergence control of summer germinating grasses and broadleaved weeds in cultivated or uncultivated fallow.
- A green weed cover >50% significantly reduces pre-emergence weed control.
Sugarcane Application: Pre-emergence:
- Apply to soil two days before incorporation.
- Incorporate with adequate irrigation or rainfall (minimum 5 cm depth).
- Flood irrigation incorporation may result in weed control loss.
- Apply to plant or ratoon cane before emergence.
- In moist conditions, allow weeds to germinate before application; mix with an appropriate knockdown herbicide.
- When emerged weeds are present, mix with an appropriate knockdown herbicide.
Soil Type:
- Pre-emergence weed control with Gundy 240 may be limited on soils with pH < 5.0 and/or high concentrations of iron (Fe) and/or aluminum (Al), common in Krasnozems and red brown Ferrosols.
MIXING:
- Gundy 240 is an aqueous solution.
- Part-fill spray tank with water, with agitator running.
- Add required Gundy 240 amount, then fill tank with water.
- When tank mixing with other products, add them first and mix thoroughly before adding Gundy 240.
- No adjuvants or surfactants needed when using Gundy 240 alone for pre-emergence weed control.
APPLICATION:
- DO NOT apply by aircraft.
- Fallow Application (Ground Only):
- Apply with boom equipment in not less than 50 L/ha water.
- Use flat fan nozzles.
- Avoid overlap and do not overspray headlands.
Note: Always refer to the latest local regulations and guidelines, and consult with local experts for crop-specific advice.
