GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Mixing:

  • Add the required quantity of Hex 50SC Fungicide to the spray tank while filling with water.
  • Mix thoroughly.

Application: Hex 50SC Fungicide can be applied using two methods:

Dilute Spraying:

  1. Use a sprayer designed for high water volumes until run-off is achieved.
  2. Ensure even coverage throughout the crop canopy, avoiding excessive run-off.
  3. Determine the required water volume using industry guidelines or expert advice.
  4. Add the specified amount of Hex 50SC Fungicide for each 100L of water and spray until run-off.
  5. Adjust dilute spray volume and sprayer setup as the crop grows.

Concentrate Spraying:

  1. Use a sprayer designed for concentrate spraying, matched to the crop.
  2. Achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy with the chosen water volume.
  3. Determine the appropriate dilute spray volume for the crop canopy.
  4. Calculate the concentrate mixing rate using the concentration factor.
    • Example: Dilute spray volume = 1500L/ha, Chosen concentrate spray volume = 500L/ha, Concentration factor = 3 (1500/500)
    • If the dilute label rate is 10mL/100mL, then the concentrate rate becomes 3 x 10 = 30mL/100L of concentrate spray.
  5. Adjust spray volume, product amount per 100L of water, and sprayer setup as the crop grows.
  6. Refer to industry guidelines, undergo competency training, and follow best practices for concentrate spraying.

FUNGICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING:

  • Hex 50SC Fungicide is a Group 3 Fungicide. Resistant fungi may exist due to normal genetic variability.
  • Use strategies to minimize the risk of fungicide resistance. Consult with your farm chemical supplier, consultant, or local authorities.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE, AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS:

  • Do not plant crops other than Maize, Sweetcorn, Tobacco, Cotton, Soybeans, Sunflowers, Peanuts, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbages, Cauliflowers, or Concep II treated Sorghum within 6 months of applying Hex 50SC Fungicide.

PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK:

  • Do not graze or cut Sweet Potato leaves for stock food.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • Avoid contamination of streams, rivers, or waterways with the chemical or used container.

RE-ENTRY PERIOD:

  • Do not enter treated areas until the spray has dried.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL (5L, 10L, 20L):

  • Store Hex 50SC Fungicide in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area.
  • Avoid prolonged storage in direct sunlight.
  • Triple or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to the spray tank.
  • Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site. Bury empty containers below 500mm in a disposal pit marked and set up for this purpose.
  • Do not burn empty containers or the product.
