GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING:
- AC Invoke 750 WG Herbicide belongs to the isoxazole group, inhibiting 4-hydroxyphenyl-pyruvale dioxygenase (4-HPPD).
- Classified as a Group H herbicide for weed resistance management.
- Resistant weed biotypes may exist, and repeated use may lead to dominance by resistant weeds.
- Axichem Pty Limited assumes no liability for losses resulting from the failure of AC Invoke 750 WG Herbicide to control resistant weeds.
CROP SAFETY:
Chickpeas:
- Sandy, gravelly, or low clay/organic matter soils may cause crop damage.
- Heavy rains post-application, especially in such soils, may result in damage.
- AC Invoke 750 WG Herbicide plus simazine in sandy soils may lead to severe crop damage.
- Not recommended for the chickpea variety Yorker; post-sowing pre-emergence application may cause unacceptable crop damage.
Crop Rotation Recommendations (Applicable to crops other than chickpeas):
- Prolonged dry periods or cold conditions may extend re-cropping intervals.
- Heavy rainfall after an extended dry period may reactivate the herbicide, causing transient bleaching or stunting.
- Not recommended for soils with pH less than 7.0, and cultivation before recropping is advised.
- Minimum recropping intervals are specified for all crops; consult Axichem Pty Ltd for advice.
Sugarcane:
-
Soil Conditions:
- Avoid application to soils with low binding potential (C.E.C. below 4.5 meq/100 g) or poor drainage.
- Add paraquat to minimize foliar uptake when applying as a broadcast spray to plant cane.
-
Adsorption to Soil:
- AC Invoke 750 WG Herbicide is adsorbed to organic matter and clay particles.
- Not recommended for soils with C.E.C. below 4.5 meq/100 g or O.C. of 1.0% or less (unless C.E.C. is greater than 9.5 meq/100 g).
- New limed soil may cause severe crop damage; consult with an agronomist before use.
-
Varietal Tolerance:
- Tested on major sugarcane varieties; consult agronomist for experimental or minor varieties.
MIXING:
- Partly fill the spray tank with water, start agitation, add AC Invoke 750 WG Herbicide with agitation running.
- When tank-mixing with paraquat, add AC Invoke 750 WG Herbicide first, followed by paraquat.
- Continue agitation while topping up the tank; use the prepared mixture on the day of preparation.
APPLICATION:
- Can be applied to hot and dry soils; no immediate soil incorporation needed.
- Activated by rainfall or irrigation, carrying the herbicide into the root zone of germinating weeds.
- Apply in a minimum spray volume of 250 L/ha for sugarcane; flat fan nozzles recommended.
- Select the lowest pressure to reduce drift; use a nozzle size delivering a medium to coarse droplet at the selected pressure.
- Apply in tank mixture with paraquat for additional weed knockdown.
- Avoid flood irrigation or high-pressure water cannons causing excessive soil movement.
