GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Smart Ipic 700 WG Herbicide is a pre-emergence herbicide designed for fallow application before planting wheat, barley, or chickpea. It provides short-term (6 to 12 weeks) pre-emergence control of summer-germinating grasses and broadleaf weeds in both cultivated and uncultivated fallow. Additionally, it is used for sugarcane application before cane emergence. Follow these guidelines for proper use:

FALLOW APPLICATION:

  • Apply in fallow prior to planting wheat, barley, or chickpea.
  • Acts as a pre-emergence herbicide for short-term control (6 to 12 weeks) of summer-germinating grasses and broadleaf weeds.
  • Ground application only.

SUGARCANE APPLICATION:

  • Apply to plant or ratoon cane before emergence.
  • If emerged weeds are present, mix with an appropriate knockdown herbicide.

MIXING:

  • Smart Ipic 700 WG Herbicide is a Water Dispersible Granule formulation.
  • Fill the spray tank with water, start the agitator, add the required amount of product, and then fill the tank with water.
  • When tank mixing with other products, add other products first, mix thoroughly, and then add Smart Ipic 700 WG Herbicide.
  • No adjuvants or surfactants are required when used alone for pre-emergence weed control.

APPLICATION:

  • Fallow Application:

    • Ground application only.
    • Apply with boom equipment in not less than 50L/ha water using flat fan nozzles.
    • Avoid overlap and do not overspray headlands.
  • Sugarcane:

    • Ensure thorough coverage of soil with well-calibrated spray equipment.
    • Apply in 50 to 200L water/ha.

EQUIPMENT CLEAN-UP:

  • Thoroughly flush all spray equipment with water after using Smart Ipic 700 WG Herbicide and before using other products.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • Compatible with glyphosate, paraquat, metsulfuron, and Triclopyr 600 EC.
  • May NOT be compatible with dicamba or clopyralid. In case of incompatibility, the use of surfactants is recommended.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING:

  • GROUP B HERBICIDE: Smart Ipic 700 WG Herbicide belongs to the imidazolinone group with the inhibitors-of-acetolactate-synthase (ALS) mode of action (Group B herbicide).
  • Weed resistance management is crucial. Some weed biotypes resistant to this product may exist.
  • Resistant weeds won't be controlled, and their dominance may increase if this herbicide is used repeatedly.

FOLLOW CROPS:

  • Carry-over soil residues can affect susceptible follow crops.
  • Rotational crop injury is possible, and the following minimum recropping intervals (months after application) should be observed.
