GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Ken-Up 500 Flexi Overview: Ken-Up 500 Flexi is a non-selective foliar absorbed herbicide for emerged weeds, without residual control.

Absorption and Translocation: Absorbed by green plant tissue and translocated throughout the plant, including the root system.

Weather Considerations: Avoid spraying if rain is likely within 2 hours. Avoid night spraying if rain is expected within 2 hours of sunlight.

Withholding Periods: No withholding periods, but delay grazing for 24 hours on annual weeds and 7 days for perennials. Caution with naturally toxic plants like Soursob and Variegated Thistle.

Soil and Water Interaction: Deactivation by soil particles and hard water containing calcium or mineral salts. Use only clean water, preferably rainwater or local authority water.

Crop Seeding and Emergence: Do not seed until weeds break down for a satisfactory seed bed. Allow 4 weeks between spraying and seeding; cultivation may be necessary.

Grazing and Seeding Timing: Seeding into young weeds can begin 1 day after treatment. Tank mixes of Ken-Up 500 Flexi and Trifluralin 480 allow incorporation after 2 hours.

Effect Duration: Effects visible in 3 to 7 days, depending on weather, weed species, and herbicide rate. Some perennial weeds may show effects in 14-21 days.

pH and Hardness Adjustment: Ken-Up 500 Flexi can be tank-mixed with Ken-Buff 700 for water adjustment. Follow Ken-Buff 700 label recommendations.

SURFACTANT:

Surfactant Addition: Not required for small actively growing weeds. Add Silken at 100mL per 100L water for large or old weeds or tank mixes.

RAINFASTNESS:

Rainfastness: Rainfast within 2 hours for small, young weeds. Reduced rainfastness if weeds are not actively growing, under stress, or with antagonistic chemicals.

MIXING:

Spray Tank Preparation: Clean the tank of previous residues, preferably with a chemical residue remover. Use clean water for mixing; reduction in results with soil or hard water.

Mixing Process: Half-fill tank with water, add Ken-Up 500 Flexi, then complete with water. Add surfactant or spray oil last; agitate well before spraying. Use equipment made from stainless steel, fibreglass, plastic, aluminium, brass, or copper.

TANK MIXTURES:

Cereal Crops: Tank mix with Ken-Ester LV 680, Dicamba 500, or Trifluralin 480 for specific weed control. Observe labels for directions, plant back periods, and cautions.

Wheat Crops: Tank mix with Ken-Chlor 750 and Ken-Gran 750 for pre-seeding operations. Follow respective labels for use and rotation recommendations.

Triazines: Tank-mix with Simazine and Atrazine; avoid aerial application within intensive cropping areas. Use Liquid Ammo-Flo to enhance knockdown weed control.

Insecticides: Compatible with various insecticides like Kensban 500, Fenitrothion, Dimethoate; check individual labels.

Herbicides: Compatible with Ken-Star 450 and Ken-Amine 625.

APPLICATION:

Boom Equipment: Apply in volumes of 30-100L per hectare with flat fan nozzles, generating medium droplet sizes. Set boom height for double overlap at weed canopy top.

Aerial Equipment: Apply recommended rates up to a maximum of 3L/ha. Spray volumes of 25-100L per hectare; increase in hilly terrain. Avoid use in intensive horticultural cropping areas.
