GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Overview: This product is a selective sulfonylurea herbicide primarily acting on foliage with limited soil activity. Effective control depends on good growing conditions, and application to stressed weeds or crops should be avoided.

Use of Surfactant / Wetting Agent:

  • It's recommended to apply this product with the addition of a bio-degradable surfactant such as BS1000® at 0.25% v/v or crop oil concentrates like Hasten® or Rocket® at 1% v/v. When targeting Brome Grass or Barley Grass suppression, only use Hasten® or Rocket®.

Crop Safety:

  • Only apply to Wheat crops and avoid the variety Brookton.

  • Westonia Wheat may have reduced tolerance, especially during dry seasons. Ensure the crop is at least at the 3-leaf (Z13) stage at application.

  • Apply when wheat is at the 3-leaf stage or more advanced.

  • Avoid application to physically damaged wheat or crops not actively growing.

  • Crop yellowing and growth retardation may occur, especially under stress conditions.

  • Damage may increase in highly alkaline soils (pH > 8.5) and on very dry sandy soils followed by soaking rainfall.

Crop Rotation Recommendations:

  • Minimum re-cropping intervals apply for all crops following this application.

  • Consult with the manufacturer for advice on using Group 2 Herbicides in the following crop.

  • Rainfall conditions determine re-cropping intervals for winter and summer crops.

Application:

  • Ensure complete and even spray coverage of all weeds.

  • Half fill the spray tank with water, add the product, other compatible herbicides, wetting agent or crop oil, and then complete filling the tank with agitation throughout.

Equipment:

  • Use standard boom sprayers with by-pass or mechanical agitation.

  • Apply 50 to 80L water/ha with MEDIUM droplet size using flat fan nozzles.

  • Avoid using COARSE or VERY COARSE spray qualities.

  • Contact Imtrade CropScience representative for advice on alternative nozzles.

Sprayer Clean-up:

  • Decontaminate sprayers before using them for other crops.

  • Drain and wash the tank, boom, and hoses with clean water, then flush with a chlorine bleach solution.

  • Soak nozzles and filters in a bleach solution while cleaning the tank.

  • Rinse thoroughly with clean water after cleaning.
