GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS


RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT
Helicoverpa (= Heliothis) armigera resistance Northern New South Wales and Queensland. To help contain pyrethroid resistance in Helicoverpa (= Heliothis) armigera, the Summer Crop Insecticide
Strategy as developed by the Queensland Department of Primary Industries and NSW Agriculture should be adhered to. Failure to observe the strategy may result in widespread resistance affecting the future viability of summer cropping.

MIXING
MAVRIK ULV is a ready to use formulation. No mixing is required.
NOTE
Application rates will depend on egg laying an caterpillar populations. Monitoring of the insect pest populations should be carried out to detect rises in egg and/or larvae numbers.
Application intervals would be variable depending on the rate of production of new unprotected terminal growth, the rate of new egg lays and moth light trapping populations.
Application timing should coincide with egg hatching and/or before larvae become entrenched in protected feeding sites.

APPLICATION
To be applied only by aircraft equipped with suitable ULV spraying equipment capable of spray outputs of between 2.5 and 5 litres spray per hectare with a spray droplet size diameter range between 50 and 100 microns.
Spray applications should be made during the cooler parts of the day or night. Spray in cross-winds.
Do not spray in calms or when wind is light and variable in direction unless smoke indicators show spray is entering the crop uniformly. ’
Before adding product to the aircraft hopper ensure that all water has been drained from the hopper and spray lines
