GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Application Timing:

  • Weeds should be sprayed while actively growing and at their most susceptible stage.
  • For annuals, spray when young, and for perennials, just prior to the appearance of the bud stage.
  • Unfavorable conditions include extremes of cold or drought. Optimal conditions are moist soil, fine weather, and no rain within 6 hours of application.
  • DO NOT spray crops or weeds outside the indicated stages, as it may result in damage, yield loss, or inadequate weed control.
  • Avoid spraying in high winds.

Application/Mixing Information:

  • Mixes readily with water.
  • Half-fill the spray tank with clean water, add the required product amount, and agitate thoroughly before adding the remaining water.

Boom Spraying:

  • Use 30-120 litres of water per hectare.
  • For LINSEED, use a minimum of 170 litres of water per hectare.

Aerial Spraying:

  • Use 10-90 litres of water per hectare.

Resistance Warning:

  • GROUP 4 HERBICIDE: MCPA Amine 750 is a member of the Phenoxy group with the Disruptors of plant cell growth mode of action.
  • It is a Group 4 herbicide for weed resistance management. Resistant weed biotypes may exist, and repeated use can lead to dominance by resistant weeds.
  • Crop Smart Pty Ltd accepts no liability for losses due to the failure of MCPA Amine 750 to control resistant weeds.

Equipment Maintenance and Usage:

  • Equipment used for this chemical should not be used for other materials on sensitive plants unless cleaned with Smart Flush-Out or a 2% solution of cloudy ammonia.

Compatibility/Tank Mixes:

  • Can be tank-mixed with diflufenican, metsulfuron, dicamba, Bromicide, Flowable Diuron, clopyralid, Sertin, Sprayseed, Flowable Terbutryn, Tordon, and Tribunil.
  • Imidan, Le Mat, Metasystox, and Dimethoate effectiveness may be reduced by alkaline hydrolysis; Smart ProBuffer is recommended.

Protection of Crops, Native and Non-Target Plants:

  • DO NOT spray in high winds.
  • Avoid drift onto nearby susceptible plants, crops, or pastures.
  • Avoid drift onto susceptible crops like cotton, vines, tomatoes, vegetables, fruit trees, legume crops, oilseed crops, or susceptible trees.

Legume Tolerance:

  • MCPA is preferred over 2,4-D Amine or Ester where legumes are undersown in the crop.
  • Tolerance of pasture legumes varies with species, variety, growing conditions, stage of growth, and companion crop cover.
  • DO NOT spray cereal crops undersown with lucerne.

Protection of Livestock:
