GENFARM McPIK 242 CEREAL HERBICIDE - GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

MIXING:

  • Mix with water only, avoiding storage of the mix.
  • Half-fill the spray tank with water.
  • Add Genfarm McPik 242 Cereal Herbicide and complete filling.
  • Agitate continuously for thorough mixing before and during application.
  • For tank mixtures, follow the specified order: wettable powder, suspension concentrates, water-soluble salts, emulsifiable concentrates, spraying oils, and surfactants.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • Compatible with specified broadleaf and grass herbicides, adjuvants, and insecticides.
  • Read and follow all label directions, restraints, plant-back periods, withholding periods, and safety directions on partner labels.
  • Not compatible with zinc products, copper salts, manganese sulfate, hard water, or water clarified with alum.

APPLICATION METHODS: A. Ground Application (Boom):

  • Apply with a calibrated boom sprayer, using at least 50L/ha water.
  • Use flat fan nozzles at 200-300 kPa pressure.
  • Set the boom for a double overlap of the nozzle pattern.

B. Aerial Application:

  • Apply in a minimum volume of 35 L/ha water.
  • Calibrate equipment for droplets with an average diameter of 200-250 microns.
  • Avoid application above 30 °C, in calm conditions, or when the wind blows towards susceptible crops.

CLEANING SPRAY EQUIPMENT:

  • Discharge rinse water to a designated area or wasteland away from desirable plants and water courses.
  • After use, empty the tank, wash the unit thoroughly, and clean filters, pump, lines, hoses, and nozzles.
  • Rinse with clean water and repeat the procedure twice.
  • Decontaminate before spraying cotton and other sensitive crops using an alkali detergent.

RESISTANCE WARNING:

  • Genfarm McPik 242 Cereal Herbicide is a Group I Herbicide containing members of the pyridine and phenoxy groups.
  • It has a disrupter of plant cell growth mode of action.
  • Resistance may occur with repeated use; Nutrien Ag Solutions Limited accepts no liability for losses due to resistance.
  • Strategies to minimize resistance risk are available; consult your farm chemical supplier, consultant, or local agricultural authorities.
