GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Imtrade Metal Gold 960 EC Herbicide is a pre-emergent herbicide effective against various annual grasses and broadleaf weeds. To ensure proper usage and minimize environmental impact, follow these instructions:
Application:
- Apply via ground application only, using a minimum of 60L/ha of water.
- DO NOT apply by aircraft.
Mixing:
- Fill the spray tank to one quarter full.
- Add Imtrade Metal Gold 960 EC Herbicide while adding water to reach the final spray volume.
- Pour the herbicide into the stream of incoming water with good agitation to ensure thorough mixing.
- When tank mixing, follow the sequence: wettable powder or water dispersible granule formulations first, followed by suspension concentrates (flowables), water-soluble salts, and finally Imtrade Metal Gold 960 EC Herbicide or other emulsifiable concentrate formulations.
- Maintain continuous agitation during mixing and application.
- Do not leave tank-mix spray solution standing in the vat overnight.
Compatibility:
- Imtrade Metal Gold 960 EC Herbicide is compatible with several other herbicides, including Flowable Cotogard, Flowable Cotoran SC, Flowable Atrazine 500g/L, Flowable Prometryn 500g/L, Imtrade Mandate 750 WG Selective Herbicide, Imtrade Paraquat 250 Herbicide, and Wipe-Out (Glyphosate).
- Always test tank mixes before applying commercially.
WEED RESISTANCE WARNING:
- Imtrade Metal Gold 960 EC Herbicide belongs to Group K Herbicides with diverse sites of action.
- Weed resistance may occur due to normal genetic variability in weed populations.
- Imtrade Australia Pty Ltd accepts no liability for losses resulting from the failure of the herbicide to control resistant weeds.
- Consult local suppliers, consultants, agriculture departments, or Imtrade Australia Pty Ltd representatives for alternative treatments.
PRECAUTIONS:
- Cotton: Do not use when planting into dry soil or soil with marginal moisture. Heavy rain or flood irrigation soon after planting, along with below-average soil temperatures, can cause crop injury.
- Brassica Crops: Crop retardation may occur on soils with low organic matter and more than 60% fine sand and silt. Apply towards the lower end of the rate range on these soil types and limit irrigation after application.
- Zero-tillage (Canola, Barley, Oats, Wheat, Triticale): If sowing with zero-tillage, apply Imtrade Metal Gold 960 EC Herbicide immediately before sowing or till in the seeding slot before application.
- Conduct a small-scale test on the crop to assess safety before applying to larger areas.
- Avoid applying the herbicide on sandy-sandy loam soils with low organic matter.
Re-entry Period:
- DO NOT enter treated areas until the spray has dried.
PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS:
- DO NOT plant crops other than Maize, Sweet Corn, Tobacco, Cotton, Soybeans, Sunflowers, Peanuts, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbages, Cauliflowers, or Concep® II treated Sorghum within 6 months of application.
DRIFT WARNING:
- DO NOT apply under conditions or from equipment that may cause spray to drift onto nearby susceptible plants, crops, or pastures.
PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK:
- DO NOT graze or cut Sweet Potato leaves for stock food.
PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT:
- Imtrade Metal Gold 960 EC Herbicide is toxic to fish. Avoid contamination of streams, rivers, or waterways.
- DO NOT apply under conditions that may cause spray to drift onto adjacent areas, especially wetlands, water bodies, or watercourses.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:
- Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
- Triple rinse containers before disposal. DO NOT dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site.
- Follow recycling or disposal guidelines in compliance with local regulations. DO NOT burn empty containers or product.
SAFETY DIRECTIONS:
- Imtrade Metal Gold 960 EC Herbicide can damage the eyes and cause allergic disorders with repeated exposure.
- Sensitive workers should use protective clothing, including cotton overalls, gloves, a hat, and goggles, when handling the herbicide.
- Wash hands thoroughly after use. After each day’s use, wash gloves, face shield or goggles, and contaminated clothing.
