GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Imtrade Metal Plus 960 EC Herbicide is a short residual, pre-emergent herbicide designed for controlling many important annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in specified crops. To ensure effective and responsible use, adhere to the following guidelines:

APPLICATION:

  • Apply through ground application only, using a minimum of 60L/ha of water.
  • DO NOT apply via aircraft.

MIXING:

  • Add the required amount directly to the spray tank.
  • Fill the tank with water and mix thoroughly.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • Imtrade Metal Plus 960 EC Herbicide is compatible with Cotogard® SC, Cotoran® SC, Flowable Atrazine 500g/L, Flowable Prometryn 500g/L, Imtrade Mandate 750 WG Selective Herbicide, Imtrade Paraquat 250 Herbicide, and Wipe-Out® (Glyphosate).
  • Always test tank mixes before applying on a larger scale.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING:

  • Imtrade Metal Plus 960 EC Herbicide belongs to Group 15 Herbicides with diverse sites of action.
  • Weed resistance may occur due to normal genetic variability in weed populations.
  • Imtrade Australia Pty Ltd accepts no liability for losses resulting from the failure of Imtrade Metal Plus 960 EC Herbicide to control resistant weeds.
  • Seek advice from local suppliers, consultants, agriculture departments, or Imtrade Australia Pty Ltd representatives for alternative treatments.

PRECAUTIONS:

  • Cotton: Avoid use in dry soil or soil with marginal moisture during planting. Heavy rain or flood irrigation soon after planting, coupled with below-average soil temperatures, may cause crop injury.
  • Brassica Crops: Crop retardation may occur on soils with low organic matter and more than 60% fine sand and silt and less than 5% clay in the top 30cm. Apply towards the lower end of the rate range on these soil types and limit irrigation after application.
  • Zero-tillage (Canola, Barley, Oats, Wheat, Triticale): If sowing using knife points and zero-tillage, apply immediately before sowing or till in the seeding slot before application.
  • Do not use on soils containing less than 5% clay in the top 30cm.
  • Test the safety of metolachlor on a small area of the crop before applying to larger areas. If adverse symptoms occur within 14 days of application with irrigation or rainfall, discontinue use.

RE-ENTRY PERIOD:

  • DO NOT enter treated areas until the spray has dried.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS:

  • DO NOT plant crops other than Maize, Sweet Corn, Tobacco, Cotton, Soybeans, Sunflowers, Peanuts, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbages, Cauliflowers, or Concep® II treated Sorghum within 6 months of application.

DRIFT WARNING:

  • DO NOT apply under conditions or from equipment that may cause spray to drift onto nearby susceptible plants, crops, or pastures.

PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK:

  • DO NOT graze or cut Sweet Potato leaves for stock food.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers, or watercourses with the chemical or used container.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:

  • Follow specific instructions on the label for different container types.
  • Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
  • Triple-rinse containers before disposal. DO NOT dispose of undiluted chemical on-site.
  • Follow recycling or disposal guidelines in compliance with local regulations. DO NOT burn empty containers or product.
  • For Envirodrum 110L Mini Bulk Returnable Container, follow specific instructions about the Micro Matic valve and security seal.
  • For Refillable Containers (1000L only), empty contents fully into application equipment. Close all valves and return to the point of supply for refill or storage.

  • Harmful if inhaled. Will irritate the eyes. Repeated exposure may cause allergic disorders.
  • Avoid contact with eyes. DO NOT inhale spray mist.
  • When handling the product and preparing it for use, as well as during application, wear elbow-length chemical-resistant gloves, goggles, and a disposable mist face mask covering the mouth and nose.
