GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

USES:

  • Short residual, pre-emergent herbicide for controlling many important annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in specified crops.

  • Acts mainly through shoot (coleoptile) absorption.

  • Effectiveness relies on rainfall or irrigation to move it into the top 3 to 4cm of soil.

APPLICATION:

  • Ground Application: Apply in a minimum of 60L/ha of water.

  • DO NOT apply by aircraft.

MIXING:

  • Add the required amount directly to the spray tank, fill with water, and mix well.

TO AVOID CROP DAMAGE:

  • Test the safety of metolachlor on a small area of the crop before using on larger areas.

  • If adverse crop symptoms occur within 14 days of application with irrigation or rainfall, discontinue use.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • Compatible with various herbicides including prometryn/fluometruron, Atrazine, Prometryn, Paraquat, and Glyphosate.

WARNINGS:

  • Cotton: Avoid use in dry soil or soil with marginal moisture to prevent crop injury.

  • Brassica crops: Use lower rates on soils with low organic matter content and specific soil types to prevent crop retardation.

  • Zero-tillage: Apply immediately before sowing or ensure proper incorporation post-seeding.

  • Do not use on soils containing less than 5% clay in the top 30cm.

  • Do not exceed one application per year.
