General Instructions:

Mixing:

Water Soluble Packs:

• Add the required number of METRO 250 WP Insecticide in the 200g water soluble packs to clean water in a half-filled spray tank with the agitator or by-pass in operation.

• Maintain agitation while filling the tank with the remainder of water.

• Agitation must be maintained throughout the spray operation.

Pre-Mix Pack:

• Carefully open the Pre-Mix Pack bottle containing 200g of METRO 250 WP Insecticide and slowly add approximately 500mL (half a liter) of water to the bottle.

• Re-seal the lid, shake to disperse the powder, and form a slurry of the product.

• Add the product slurry to clean water in a half-filled spray tank with the agitator or by-pass in operation.

• Triple rinse the Pre-Mix Pack bottle to ensure full transfer of the product.

• Maintain agitation while filling the tank with the remainder of water.

• Agitation must be maintained throughout the spray operation.

Plastic Bag Packs:

• Through Strainer Mixing:

  • Open the bag of METRO 250 WP Insecticide and slowly add the product, washing through while filling the tank.

  • Continue water addition and fully agitate until all of the product is completely dispersed.

• In Tank Pre-slurry:

  • Pre-slurry in the bottom of the tank by first filling with 200-300 liters of water.

  • Add the required amount of METRO 250 WP Insecticide and use a mixing rod and/or agitation systems to vigorously stir until all the product is completely slurried on the bottom of the tank.

  • Continue water addition and fully agitate until all the product is completely dispersed.

• External Pre-slurry:

  • Fill the spray tank with one-half the required amount of clean water.

  • Premix the required amount of METRO 250 WP Insecticide in a separate container until completely slurried.

  • Add the slurry to a vigorously agitating tank and continue water addition.

  • Fully agitate until all the product is completely dispersed.

• Full Agitation in Pre-filled Spray Tank:

  • Fill the tank with one-half the required amount of clean water and set the pump on full agitation.

  • Open the bag of METRO 250 WP Insecticide and slowly add the required amount of product to ensure it is well dispersed throughout the tank.

  • Continue water addition and fully agitate until all the product is completely dispersed.

Application:

• To be Effective: METRO 250 WP Insecticide requires thorough spray coverage.

• Brassicas and Potatoes: Apply as a spray in a minimum of 100 to 800 L water/ha using hollow cone nozzles and droppers.

• Stone Fruit: The same quantity of METRO 250 WP Insecticide per hectare should be used regardless of the spraying method.

• Dilute Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed for high volumes of water up to the point of runoff.

  • Achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy and apply sufficient water to cover the crop to the point of runoff.

  • Avoid excessive runoff.

  • Add the amount of METRO 250 WP Insecticide specified in the Directions for Use table for each 100 L of water.

  • Spray to the point of runoff.

• Concentrate Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed for concentrate spraying and apply a minimum of 500 L water/ha.

  • Achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy using your chosen water volume.

  • Determine an appropriate dilute spray volume for the crop canopy to calculate the concentrate mixing rate.

  • Calculate the concentrate rate based on the dilute spray volume.

  • Adjust equipment setup and operation as the crop grows.

Compatibility:

• Test all mixtures prior to mixing commercial quantities due to variations in water quality and formulations of other manufacturers' products.
