GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: MUSTANG INSECTICIDE

PRODUCT OVERVIEW: Mustang Insecticide is a contact and residual insecticide effective for protective treatment at regular intervals or as a knockdown treatment to control existing pests. It is crucial to apply Mustang before pest populations reach damaging levels for optimal results.

MIXING: Add the required quantity of Mustang to water or oil in the spray tank based on the type of application. Ensure thorough mixing and maintain agitation during both mixing and application.

APPLICATION: Beware of spray drift under adverse meteorological conditions or certain spray equipment. Prevent spray drift onto sensitive areas, including natural streams, rivers, waterways, and human dwellings.

AERIAL APPLICATION NEAR SENSITIVE AQUATIC ENVIRONMENTS:

  • DO NOT apply by air if sensitive aquatic environments are within 2 km downwind.
  • Implement Large Droplet Placement (LDP) best management practices.

APPLICATION IN WATER FROM THE GROUND:

  • DO NOT apply by ground rig if sensitive aquatic environments are within 300m downwind.
  • Apply through suitably calibrated spray equipment.

APPLICATION - FOR ALL OTHER SITUATIONS:

  • Apply a minimum spray volume of 50 – 100L/ha by ground rig or at least 10L/ha by aircraft.
  • Use nozzle configurations with droplet volume median diameter (VMD) of 150-250 microns.
  • Avoid application in unsuitable conditions (e.g., high temperature, strong winds, inversion conditions, imminent rain).

ULV APPLICATION:

  • Dilute Mustang Insecticide in suitable oil and use 4-5L/ha of total spray volume.

RAINFASTNESS:

  • Do not make spray applications when rain is expected within 6 hours of spraying.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • Mustang Insecticide may be mixed with appropriate ovicides, miticides, and plant growth regulators.

RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT:

  • Follow the current Insecticide Resistance Management Strategy for cotton.
  • Cultivate cotton fields as soon as possible after picking to destroy over-wintering pupae of Helicoverpa armigera.
  • Mustang Insecticide is a Group 3A and a Group 1B insecticide, and resistance management strategies should be followed.

RE-ENTRY TO TREATED FIELDS/CROPS:

  • Do not enter treated areas until the spray has dried. When necessary, wear appropriate protective clothing.

PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK:

  • Dangerous to bees. Do not spray plants in flower when bees are foraging.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • Dangerous to aquatic life. Avoid contamination of dams, ponds, waterways, drains, or other waters.
  • Prevent irrigation water from treated paddocks entering adjacent pastures, crops, or other waters.
  • Avoid application in conditions that may result in drift onto adjacent pastures, crops, or other waters.
